Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

The immediate problem is, can you hold onto your best players after missing the playoffs two years in a row? If I have a year of eligibility left, do I stay with a Rebuilding project or go to a place with a legit chance at the playoffs and a Final Four? UVA and UMD both have open arms wrt to our to...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

How many of you were actually at the game??? How many of you who were actually at the game, then stayed the entire game? How of many of you who stayed the entire game, then stayed in the stands AFTER the game?? If you are among the latter, then when did you realize that the Senior Day "celebra...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

had senior night after the game. It's going to be even harder for the Blue Jays as far as recruiting. The sport of lacrosse has become more widespread throughout the country and few teams dominate the way Johns Hopkins once did. It's hard for the Blue Jays to compete in the Big Ten with teams like O...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Missed one point. The tradition part. Tradition continues to diminish, particularly with this generation. It’s staying alive for those that live in the past. Too many teams that have beaten JHU and consistently does much better……over the past few years will draw better players. Not to mention other ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Again, kids and families have changed. I can’t imagine a stud kid is out there and when saying he wants to go to the best team, stud players (game changers), best program…..tradition, fans, where lacrosse is king and JHU comes to mind?? That’s generally gone. If he’s looking for strong academics wit...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Agree. We don’t have those kids. The kids that are the spark on other teams chose the schools they are at for a reason. Why didn’t they “chose” Hopkins??

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Gone are the days of differing admission/behavior standards for laxers vs the rest of JHU student population. Yiiiiiikes this is deeply, deeply incorrect When did those standards change? Perhaps I'm just still remembering the early 00s. Surely you don't imagine that the admission standards for any ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Sounded to me like he's learning the double speak - some gobble de gook about buying into an identity that he didn't bother to elaborate as to what that was - saying he didn't need the team to be a volume shooting team - what's so revelatory about that? I noticed he's also stopped his mailing list ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

2022, I restate my earlier comment…….
Also, let’s hope SU can’t hit the net. They will definitely be getting there shots off with some of those Defense match ups.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Individual match-ups create the need for off ball defense along with a good timed slide here and there.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Nowhere in there does it have an injury report heading or list anything about a "starting lineup". The closest thing is Key Personnel which just lists point scorers/stat getters so far this year outside of Chauvette who did get a game start and Marcille. Nothing to even be lying about in ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Please stop with masks. Simple terms for JHU lacrosse games…..
No mask, no proof of vacs. Just buy a ticket and enjoy the game.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

JH 2022…..wouldn’t put a lot of faith JHU offense. Same players, same strategy. Are we going to see a different offense this time? Are we going to be more athletic?

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Syracuse has as much if not more shooting power as UVA, so we can see where that’s going. Simply need more shooting power to try to keep it close. This should be fun.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022

Ninth turnover. This Hopkins team has no poise under a tough ride. DocBarrister When the other guys are bigger, faster and more athletic, poise doesn't much matter. Yes, we are out matched. We cannot match their athletic ability or lacrosse IQ Not true. This is a coaching issue. Kirson’s turnover o...
