Not confirmed yet. He has 1 more year of eligibility.

Re: Transfer Portal 2024

Interesting note in the Inside Lacrosse article on the portal (Ty Xanders, I think?) — reports that two unnamed 2023 tournament teams have already reached out to Mac Eldridge. Georgetown (guessing) and . . . Penn State? Other guesses? Richmond; PSU seems unlikely, with Mullins having three years le...

Re: Virginia 2023

Lars has tended to recruit smaller classes and leaves a little room for flexibility. Hoos coaches are still working on the ‘23 class and probably have two or three spots left to fill, but don’t seem to be in a rush. They haven’t let the roster swell much post Covid and are around 43-44. General expe...

Re: Transfer Portal 2023

As far as I know, Darden is still for people who have work experience. Two of my hs classmates were also on my class at the college at UVA and went to Darden to get MBAs after working for a couple of years, My neighbor, an engineer from NC State did likewise. I think the UVA grad business grad stud...

Not yet.
Usually comes out in early Dec iirc. Hop announced they’re playing UVA this season, and Hoos will play the Terps at UMD or in the DC area.

Re: Virginia Lacrosse 2022

According to thesabre, a Catamount is going to be a Cavalier. If true the move from U of V to UVA will provide the defending NC with a potential means of filling the hole created by the loss of Bertrand. Apparently for the ‘23 season, not for ‘22. Nice addition for the Hoos - he’s an excellent midf...

Expect so on Danville and Kahn, don’t know enough about the picture on defense to predict the other. Are the Terps looking to add a FO through the portal too?

Re: Who Wins The National Title?

Unfortunately the season has come and gone. Four very good teams came to play this weekend. While my heart is with the Terps yesterday game just did not go their way. Hats off to Virginia on pulling out two tough wins. Your Terps were impressive and it was a great game. Tiffany and Tillman had sche...

Re: Transfer Portal 2022

Ok so what if Lars doesn’t add the grad transfer Charlie Bertrand? Let’s not count his 2 goals in the semis and they lose to UNC 11-10. The transfer game is what it is these days. Bad example…..Bertrand graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Merrimack and was admitted to Virginia’s ...

Re: Joey Spallina

Or he's a teenager being interviewed on the fly and he's just saying what he liked about each school and he liked the field being off-campus... and on-campus. i.e. He liked both. And, thus, by definition, neither will pull or push him in a direction. Now, the #22 at SU or the high likelihood of a N...

Re: VIRGINIA LACROSSE 2020

The attack of Moore, Laviano, and Cormier does look pretty strong. I guess Shellenberger backs up the 2 righties, and both McIntosh and Maher are lefties to back up Cormier. The midfield is more of a question mark, especially if Aitken doesn't return. If the rumors are true, where does Charlie Bert...

Would Sowers make them a legit NC contender next year? I don’t know who they return enough to judge. If he’s serious about that point, it may shorten his list considerably.

Re: Transfer Portal

Just wondering what schools the athletes who entered the transfer portal are looking at. I would assume the list is relatively small and would primarily comprise schools from the ACC (5), Big East (6), Big 10 (6), Patriot (3), and America East (1). Am I missing any others? Thought I saw the Holy Cr...

Re: Transfer Portal

I wonder if BJ Burlace was looking for the fifth year which he wouldn’t get at an Ivy like Yale. Probably is just looking for playing time. Not sure he stepped on the field this year. Maybe just looking for a better fit. Yale’s a great school but isn’t right for everyone. It happens everywhere some...

Re: VIRGINIA LACROSSE 2020

Chris Jastrzembski twitter Junior LSM Will Rock is no longer with @UVAMensLax, per a team spokesperson. Rock played in both of Virginia's games so far this year but did not record any stats. He picked up 27 CTs, 76 GBs, 1 G, and 7 As in his first 2 years. Good thing Dol came back for a 5th year. Al...

Re: VIRGINIA LACROSSE 2020

Sounds like there’s talk about a RS. More than anything, I think the Hoos recruited Shellenberger as a qb-type attack you can run the offense through, like Hoos got from Moore last year. RS would give an additional year between Moore and Shellenberger, and looking at the Hoos recruits, I’m not sure ...

Re: VIRGINIA LACROSSE 2020

Hoos look like they have six in the mix at ssdm with Merle, Parker, Brennfleck, Sallade, Fox, and Maloney, and might have a few additional options if needed - for example Tygh is reportedly very good on defense. Have to see how that shakes out in games, but I expect Hoos will run four in games at ss...

Re: VIRGINIA LACROSSE 2020

Notre Dame is playing Michigan on March 14th, so their UVa game will be moved to another weekend. Perhaps, the now vacant UVa-JHU weekend, which corresponds to the March 21 weekend this spring ACC pushed its teams to move league games to later in the season, so league play runs up to the league tou...

Re: VIRGINIA LACROSSE 2020

No parking problems, although the crowd was decent for fall ball. Starters tended to play till the end of the 3rd quarter. UVa was behind 11-13 at the end of the 3rd. Virginia's starters Attack - Krauss, Moore, Laviano 1st midfield - Aitken, Peele, Bienkowski 2nd midfield - Quinn, Connor, Shellenbe...

whether you are talking about 70 "variations", or "permutations" , to me you're essentially talking about the same thing. here is what trinity said originally: At Brown, by his fourth season, he had over 70 defensive variations. They changed slide packages based on ball position...
