... after reading your article it sounds to me like communication in the COVID community has not been so good on this subject. One country not knowing what the other is doing / seeing.

That's my point: where do you think these people are going to get these therapeutics, if not the hospital?
They have to know they have Covid (how do they find that out?). They have to believe in Covid. Then they have to arrive at wherever you think they're going to get these therapeutics within the correct time window. Someone has to track their progress. And again...these folks have already signaled that they either don't have access to a doctor....or do not trust said doctor.
Do you not see the problem here?

You're assuming these are rational patients, Bart. IMHO, it's a mistake to assume we know how they will behave.
I was 1000% wrong in that when I thought the rubber met the road, that these free thinkers would quietly get the vaccine, and we'd be well north of 90% vaxx rate. Boy, was I wrong.

Which is why we HAD to discharge those who refused the shot. You can't have people serving that are psychologically inclined to buy nonsense that they read on social media, and choose THAT over things like the simple fact that all their leaders are vaccinated.

I'm beginning to think he's perhaps on to something and he is a vaccine scientist. Israel is already dispensing 4th doses to those 60+ and talking about a possible 5th dose later this year

Start of Day 5 - Woke up this morning with the fog lifted (yipee), just some lingering congestion...Aleve seemed to do wonders and I could certainly feel when it was getting close for another dose. Never a sore throat or chills/sweats, just a run down feeling, congestion, and really itchy/watery eyes, like an allergy. Congestion was at its worse last night.
Start of day 6 - Fog settled back in during day 5, still tired, lazy, congested off and on, but otherwise okay, made it much easier to justify watching all the bowl games...even squeezed in a couple movies. Woke up this morning congested, again...damn it, no other symptoms. All in all.....it is just a prolonged cold, assuming it is omicron, but trying to schedule a PCR or risk standing in a MD sponsored testing line, just seems futile at this point.
Still a bit congested each morning. Sadly, while watching a movie with a dram of bourbon, I could no longer smell or taste. Working backwards, I believe it started a day or so ago and I never connected the dots.

J'Biden HAS shut down the virus, YA, among the non-brainwashed, science based members of our society. The Just Say No types follow the likes of Mitch McConnell, Ron Johnson, Ted Cruz, Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan and the rest of those delusionals, whose only aim in life is to hold on to office, and Own the Libs. J'Biden and the Dems at the very least ATTEMPT TO GOVERN, something that a country of our size and scope MUST have, governance. The Republican Party today has ZERO interest in governing. The fact that your party and it's "leaders" try, at every turn, to thwart such attempts at leadership, says all you need to know about the character of that party and those that support it.

This week, emails released through a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the American Institute for Economic Research revealed what I see as worrisome communication between Francis Collins, Anthony Fauci, and others within the National Institutes of Health in the fall of 2020. At issue was the Great Barrington Declaration, an open letter written in October 2020 and eventually signed by thousands of scientists. It argues that Covid-19 policy should focus on protecting the elderly and vulnerable, and largely re-open society and school for others.
We also have a much larger population.
