Re: ACC 2019
not automatic, you get 5 to play 4 and it's not a suspension that takes a year away. but if he played in a fall scrimmage, he's done. hope whatever his next step is, things go his way. i know a lot of kids idolize his play. . not sure that is correct as they have changed some eligibility rules rega...

Re: ACC 2019
Appears on paper that all teams in the ACC besides Duke will be stronger this year. Duke still FF quality but looks to have lost the most of all teams to graduation though always a stock of top talent ready to step up. Lot of preseason accolades being heaped on UVA and ND talent but the proof will b...

Re: Syracuse 2019
Babers has done a great job .players respond to him.. Syracuse was fortunate and wise to retain him. Their success and his system should attract even more talented recruits going forward. Spot on about Szymt, kickers tend to be unheralded but both him and punter/ko specialist Hofrichter provide Cuse...

Thread is on predicting 2019 Final Four not league champions, there are no foregone conclusions in predictions. Cornell a legit FF contender just as Duke, JHU, PSU and some others not on my ff list. Feel free to put forth your predicts

Re: Who wins it all in 2019?
Shay says YALE may be more well rounded despite loss of Reeves and Ierlan plugs in for Mackie. LOYOLA is well rounded, has this years Reeves and past chip pedigree. My fav to win it all. MARYLAND streak carries on as they are built and geared for NCAA success NOTRE DAME surprises some as decent O in...

Re: Syracuse 2019
Clips of glory days are enjoyable to view but not pertinent to Syracuse 2019 . Their 19 schedule was just announced, some high hurdles to jump. They have some talented youngsters but team seemed to play in spurts last year. A couple of big wins on road yet some flat performances at home .Need to qui...

UVA has plenty of talent that could flourish regardless of system or process. Conrad is a joy to watch, hoping that his return is at full strength.

Order seems logical but on Any Given Sunday any team in the ACC including an improved UNC can beat any other in the ACC including Duke.

Tough conference , all six teams are very competitive. Flip a coin -JHU, Maryland, Penn St, Ohio State all could win the B10 conference while Michigan is rapidly improving and Rutgers is a top twenty team.

Re: Syracuse 2019
Cuse with another flip, this time going to an Ivy. My personal take... Cuse has gotten out of their element. Why are they recruiting players that could even be admitted to Ivy League schools and schools like ND. They have excelled in the past with players that have a high lacrosse IQ not a high act...

Re: Patriot League 2019
PL ranking guess : Loyola Lehigh Navy BU Army tie: Colgate-Buck-HC Lafayette Sound. Patriot league tends to get overlooked but top ten squad in Loyola and Id include sr laden Lehigh in that group as well. Navy' notch below those two but Torain is special player along with players like Daniel and Wa...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
I would imagine it's a lot harder to get an elite d3 school football team together than it is a d1 lacrosse program. No scholarship $, more kids to find, more coaches, probably less juice w admissions, and still obviously a private school cost+ cost of living in an east coast city when compared to ...

Expect Delbarton vs Mountain Lakes in 2019 TOC final
Most of the stronger teams will be from Essex, Bergen, Morris. Non publics do not appear as strong as years past.

Re: Maryland 2019
See College Crosse's ballot for preseason All American has Neufeldt as first team lsm. I understand he is getting his masters at Denver in his last eligible but would think Maryland Ould coffer the same. Seems odd he would leave after 4 years with just as good or better chances at national title . A...

Re: Rutgers 2019
When it comes to "sentimental favorites for making the NCAA Tournament", after three near-misses, the Scarlet Knights very well could be #1 in this category. They cut down on "bad losses", and their time in this discussion may not be for much longer. By the way, as I said in a p...

Re: Syracuse 2019
Never heard the description smelly applied to the Dome but it was sweltering inside when I attended a football game there. No a/c despite Carrier Corp ( Carrier was a former Cornell grad who invented a/c) having naming rights but Syracuse draws huge crowds for hoops and usually near or at top of lax...

Re: Syracuse 2019
Upstate NY weather blows but Syracuse facilities are a plus. They have top notch indoor facilities for the wintry climate and outdoor fields for early fall and late spring. Playing in the Dome in front of 4-5 k is a unique experience and a lure. Every team enjoys a home field advantage but might ben...
