D3 All Americans 2024

Sorry for the bit of tardiness on this but here we go. USA Lacrosse Magazine 2024 AA: (I personally think this list is the worst of the three that come out for d3 but just opinion…feel like the d3 coverage is better from the guys at IL and with USILA) FIRST TEAM A — Jude Brown, Salisbury A — Will By...

Re: Transfer Portal 2025

Saw a poster in the D3 tournament thread saying St Lawrence has multiple players taking 5th & 6th years at the D1 level. Any knowledge on that? They have been sending a handful of players up to D1 including Will Helm. Feel like we might hear some names fly around soon as St. Lawrence was knocke...

Re: Brown 2024

AD is thorough and methodical - new hire will have to exceed on her rubric…communicator/charismatic/ player developer/appreciates Brown’s uniqueness/ projects to be in Ivy Tourney annually/discipliner/ recruiting contacts/ teacher….hire by Memorial Day…..salary to be whatever it takes to land the t...

Re: All Americans 2024

Another unintentional problem I have with most AA lists is the skew towards attackman. 27 attackman earned recognition on this list compared to the 22 “close” defenseman. Not a huge gap…but if we are putting 4 A on each team why not 4 D? I know people have to put the ball in the net but guys have to...

All Americans 2024

First look at USA Lacrosse Magazine AA: Some notes…Lyght from ND getting nothing here is very surprising. Kastner at 3rd seems low. Levi Anderson nothing. Jameison (Duke G) thought should at least get HM… FIRST TEAM A – Matt Brandau, Yale A – Pat Kavanagh, Notre Dame A – CJ Kirst, Cornell A – Connor...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024

As for Stimmel, there is also the possibility that, after having experience as a head coach, he has realized that an assistant at a major DI program is the job that is best for him and what he likes the best. Legendary assistant coach Marc Van Arsdale decided the same thing after a stint as the hea...

My last look at the first team after the ODAC tournament: RMC boys moving up after an impressive week!! Congrats to Noke, W&L, Lynchburg for making the big dance…good for the conference! 1st team A- Brown / W&L / Sr. A- L. Kammerman / Roanoke / Sr. A- O'Brien / HSC / Sr. A- Smith / RMC / Sr....

Re: ODAC 2024

2024 All ODAC Teams as the first round games start tomorrow. Still a lot to be sorted/decided but what do you guys think? Debate and rearrange ! Very top heavy view here but historically, that is how it shakes out... 2023 - the top 4 seeds had all but 9 of the selections on 1st, 2nd, 3rd teams (81.2...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024

Glad someone started this thread before I did this year, sorry for my tardiness. From what I have gathered, there are a few notable names who we can discuss with being on the hot seat this summer and for the '24-'25 season: Let's Talk About Them Mike Daly, Brown Nick Meyers, Ohio State Randy Mearns,...

Preseason S&C

Saw a lot of debate on Twitter/X stemming from this :

https://x.com/danarestia/status/1744369 ... 11429?s=61

Anyone have program specific tests or just overall thoughts? I think there are compelling arguments on both sides especially with the more modern views on fitness. Fire away!

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Find it funny how Hopkins made all goalies use the #0 jersey in the scrimmage :D :D

Good looking offense when there at Homewood this weekend, seems like they are deeper than years past.

Is Angelus healthy?

Re: UNC 2024

I heard from a few people that the final of the scrimmage was UNC 12 - OSU 11. UNC looked pretty solid, very good at the face off X. Defense was good, slipped a little bit in the 3rd quarter when Goode was in the net. Offense seems to be very fundamental and clicking, got some horses in the offensiv...

Recruit/Walk-On/Transfer

Been wondering recently about some of the composition of D1 programs. From IL Transfer Portal: Rutgers with 12 OSU with 10 JAX with 9 Cuse with 8 What do most teams carry total and how many spots does that leave for incoming freshmen and potential walk on players? On the same note, is it easier to &...

Re: Transfer Portal 2024

I know a little different topic and one that is not necessarily published but wondering if people with more inside knowledge of teams can chime in... How many "walk-ons" are there for most of these D1 teams? Duke - UVA - UNC - Cuse - ND - Maryland - OSU - JHU - PSU - Michigan - Feel free t...

Re: Transfer Portal 2024

Not sure if this has been brought up in the forums but do we know what specific grad programs are bringing in the most guys by school? (I know it varies greatly on the individual and their coursework prior but…) Better worded: Which specific programs are most appealing for some of these student-athl...

Army I think can go to Brendan Nichtern

- 3x All American
- Tewarraton Finalist as a senior
- Career leader in points/assists, single season record holder in points/assists as well

D1 Programs / How they Operate...

Wanted to start this for people to chime in on how different programs do things. Was talking to one of my buddies that said there is a top 10 in D1 then a big gap in how others conduct their business. Not sure how true that is but would love to hear individual thoughts on this. Practices/Equipments/...
