Re: NESCAC

A good man and an incredibly straight shooter with recruits and players. No surprise that he gave Williams a long runway to find a replacement. It will be fascinating to see the candidates that come out for one of the very best jobs in DIII.

Re: NESCAC

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that at one time it was a fee based assessment from IL, is that still the case. If so, just another way to grift stressed out players and parents who think that the rating means anything. Pay-for-3 stars is an IL revenue stream and, as I mentioned abov...

What is the world coming to? One day we'll have a president whose wife did porn shoots. Nobody EVER accused HRC of doing porn shoots. Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but this seems to have the most talk about "recruiting" of the active threads on here. I listened to the Inside Lacrosse podcast this morning with Terry Foy talking Lars Tiffany about the recruiting process. He asked how many players they have on their...

Re: NESCAC

It looks like GVA is parting ways with Colby. This is tricky timing as the team tries to complete its recruiting of the '24 HS class. Where to? What else was open? Perhaps on to the independent world? This seems like a play to try and get the assistant coach bumped to interim. Coaches retiring at i...

Any thoughts on why no NESCAC 2024 commits are showing up on IL. Last year at this time, almost every school already had anywhere from 5-7 commits A kid I had been keeping an eye on from VT recently committed to Conn College: Peyton Grey (burr & Burton) https://www.insidelacrosse.com/recruiting...

Not sure if this means much, but Middlebury and Amherst have 7 three stars, W&L 5 three stars, Tufts 5 three stars, Salisbury 1 three star, Lynchburg 1 three star, and Roanoke and Hamden Sydney 0 three stars for 2024. It means literally nothing. The guys from IL go in after the fact and add the...

Re: Preseason Top 10

I totally get it that the younger guys may have lost playing time because of this but at least they can say they had 4 normal college years. The "younger guys" lost 1-2 years of HS lacrosse and definitely did not have a normal HS experience ... and, as compensation, get to compete for pla...

Re: D3 Roster Size

Food for thought: many NESCACs don't use lacrosse to put heads in beds and several of those programs were reasonably competitive in 2023 with rosters around 45 - Williams (41), Amherst (46), Midd (46).
