So they are ok for now unless another team drops. But even so they would get a 2 year window to get someone else. But 6 = AQ
Currently 6 teams = AQ.

Will they have 6 teams in the next year or two, that is questionable; hence why I was suggesting they add an associate member (if possible) when they can.

St. Marys could be running into the same situation/issue in the United East

I thought the UE CSAC merger would keep them healthy but it appears you are right they are still down to 6. The teams in the old UE in NY didn't make the move.

Haverford has their coach. A coordinator from a NESCAC school. Should be announced soon.

If it was a job like Immaculata, Marian or Mt. St. Joseph, I would agree and could see that happening. Good thing, it isn't

Cause he’ll do a bad job? Or because he’ll realize it’s a bad job?

My afternoon trip to the least-traffic’d office baño allowed me to check the Jeffs and Cardinals athletics web pages…Carrington is still listed, Pilat is not. If the logic is true, congrats to Coach Pilat on reaching the cruising altitude and turning off the “fasten seat belt” light. Runway looks clear to take off and scoop up those d3 recruits who didn’t get a July 1 call from the upper crust NESCACs. All the best with the fords/black squirrels!

Regardless of who the choice is, recruiting at Haverford is very difficult from an academics standpoint, even when compared to the NESCAC

Coming from personal experience, the NESCACS seem to have a little more flexibility in regards to athletic recruiting with the band system, not so much at Haverford.

Interesting. I always figured they operated like NESCACs/Swarthmore/W&L/etc. Appreciate the insight.

They did when Murphy was there. My understanding was that administrators were frustrated at the level of success they were having and cracked the whip. Now they are very limited in their support

Heard that Immaculata will now be filled by a bigger name than most would expect. Additionally Catholic will have made their hire by the end of week and Ithaca most likely has their man. By my estimates 2 more jobs will be opening on the carousel

Glad I included my "if the logic is true" caveat so I can cling to that like "I was just asking if they had to wear matching gloves" and "we should definitely hear this case about a completely hypothetical wedding website scenario" and "if these students get forgiveness, then that's not fair to the kids who didn't take out loans"...I offer the same congratulations to Coach Carrington, although the surname does not offer up as many pun opportunities as the (former?) wesleyan assistant and rival coordinator
