Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Not a coaching change. The previous posts seemed to suggest those entering the portal were all about the players wanting to leave. I’m simply saying those entering the portal could have been a player decision or a mutually agreed decision between player and coach. This happens at all schools. A res...

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
I’ve been hearing rumors changes may be made at VT, so it’s probably not safe to assume these are all player driven. Hitting the reset button may not be a bad thing. Are you insinuating coaching change? I'd be shocked her leash is that short... Not a coaching change. The previous posts seemed to su...

Re: WLAX Bracketology
Fairfield has only played 1 Patriot League team this year. It was Holy Cross and they lost. That one hurts. I was one to pump the brakes on Army and Navy before the season, but both teams have put together very impressive seasons so far. Loyola, Army and Navy are deserving of making the final 28. L...

Re: New Programs
D1 to D3, all of this points to picking a school one would attend w/o lacrosse. I have seen some head scratching moments where high players commit to lacrosse programs that were never on their list of schools and didn’t seem to align academically with what they wanted from a school. I’ve seen this m...

Re: Boston College
BC looked better this weekend, taking their NW loss out on VT. How much of this drubbng was because of NW or VT is what I am struggling with. I am in no way suggesting VT would win this game, but under Skiera the Hokies have had a tendency to self-destruct. VT won 60% of the draws yesterday, but the...

Re: Games Today
I think the close game against ASU is a positive not a negative Agreed! So glad someone else sees it this way. They clamped down and made the plays (draw controls, ground balls, converting on free position [can I get a witness, DMac?] and scoring goals) in crunch time when they needed to. I'm baffl...

Re: Games Today
Spidey. Put me down for three dimes tomorrow on ASU upsetting Michigan. I don’t need goals. They are winning outright. 14-12 Booked. I've got The Blue -6.5 for those looking for points. Give me Big Blue by 8. I know many on ASU and their recruits. They don’t have the game changing type players to c...

Re: Big 12 Lacrosse
Don’t know the reasoning behind Florida leaving the AAC, but on the service it comes across as them running scared.

Re: What’s going on at Furman
It would be nice if the NCAA had a website that listed schools and number of scholarships they each offer. Would be helpful for perspective students and us fanlax junkies  If there is such a list somewhere online someone is aware of, maybe they could share the link. Agree, it would be helpful ...

Re: Florida State
That would be unfortunate for an ACC school to not invest in the success of their women’s lacrosse program given the conference is home to many of the best teams. Contrast this with FSUs Florida neighbor, USF, who is all in on women’s lacrosse. If you haven’t seen the posts about their new football...

Re: Florida State
Will FSU have any 2025 commits Eventually. Need the coach in place first. The longer it takes, I feel like the less talent they'll be able to bring in/flip. And can't see a huge name taking the job at this point. They are definitely taking a different route than Clemson. As someone else mentioned, ...

Re: Recruiting
I think marketing yourself as M/D or M/A is a good recruiting strategy and encompasses many girls. I don’t particularly like or recommend early position specification for this reason. So many college-bound girls in HS play mid because they’re among the best on their teams. Absolutely. what you don'...

Re: Big 12 Adding Women Lacrosse in 2024-2025
I can’t imagine anything will happen until after this coming season. Would these affiliates jeopardize their ability to earn their current conference AQ to the NCAA tournament by making an announcement any sooner?

Re: Big 12 Adding Women Lacrosse in 2024-2025
I don't see any of the AAC teams leaving their conference. They are arguably the 3rd best conference in womens lacrosse and outside of Temple and Cincy, all relatively within the same region Agree, I don’t see any teams from the AAC leaving to become affiliate members of the Big12. I cannot see an ...

Re: Big 12 Adding Women Lacrosse in 2024-2025
My guess is conference is filled out by - Vandy - SDSU - UC Davis Not likely Vandy would leave the AAC. Regionally, the AAC is a much better fit and the lacrosse better than what Vandy will get playing against Cincy, CU, and ASU. It would seem likely if the BIG12 is making this move the SEC will no...

Re: Green Cards
The green cards have turned the fastest game on two feet into one of the slowest. Watching paint dry may be more fun after attending several Fall Ball games. The NCAA is leveling the playing field for the less-athletic slow teams. Just foul in the midfield to literally bring the game to a screeching...

Re: Recruiting
I’m not following how having a D3 coach for an AS team translates into lack of playing time. AS Tryouts have "neutral evaluators" who are usually D2 or D3 coaches. Except at the AS evaluation in North Carolina where the Club director walked out onto the field with a clipboard and basicall...

Re: Fall Lacrosse Schedules
I am not seeing it online either. Hmmm must be a big time scooper! I think the schedule stuff is overblown personally. Sure-take a shot at Duke who has had an established program and plays Gardner-Webb etc. I just don’t get the hate towards some of the first and 2nd year programs and their schedule...
