For you and your fellow Republican voters? That's right: you no longer have ethics when it comes to you or your party. No such thing as a conflict of interest in Old Salt's world. If it ain't illegal, it's ethical.
And there it is: Old Salt "logic". You just got done telling me that there's nothing illegal or unethical about this sort of thing.
And yet you won't shut up about the Steele Dossier. Seems you DO care about unethical behavior. But only for those little D's.
Rinse. Repeat. Just tell us the Dems are bad, and cut to the chase.
They were meeting in their office in their building open to the public, with someone brought to them by a Russian friend with whom they had worked on the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow. There was nothing secret or covert about it. They bailed when they saw it was a scam.
Not a problem....you didn't know Hunter's status, my man. I'll buy you a tomahawk when we meet, anyway!youthathletics wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 9:30 pm Afan, I promise….I won’t order the Dry aged Tomahawk steak.
Blah blah blah...Rs are awesome, Dems are bad.....same old same old.old salt wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 9:20 pmThey were meeting in their office in their building open to the public, with someone brought to them by a Russian friend with whom they had worked on the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow. The dossier was a fabrication, based on Russian disinformation sources, contracted & paid for by HRC via the DNC.
It was bogus, yet highly effective. It was not debunked until after the election. Yet the disinfo it spread still persists.
When you first sign up & begin the process, you fill out a SF-86 & it's submitted, so that you get at least a Confidential clearance by the time you're commissioned. Hunter started the process in 2012. He was commissioned in 2013, discharged in 2014.
SNAP too. Low margin, govt mandated loss leaders, but you big time shylocks don't have to bother with them. They're for the little people.
You surely know more about the process than I do, but even if he had a clearance, that’s not the same thing as having had access to classified information which is one of the key questions here. And the most important question is whether any classified information, if any, he had access to 10 years ago has any relevance to the congressional inquiry. I can’t imagine it does.old salt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 12:01 amWhen you first sign up & begin the process, you fill out a SF-86 & it's submitted, so that you get at least a Confidential clearance by the time you're commissioned. See the WP article I linked & quoted. It does not take long to get a Confidential.
and maybe Comer and Jordan can also look into this potentially catastrophic classified intell breach at the end of Orange Fatso's termnjbill wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 7:41 amYou surely know more about the process than I do, but even if he had a clearance, that’s not the same thing as having had access to classified information which is one of the key questions here. With a confidential clearance Hunter might've known what was going to be served on the mess decks next week but that's about it (I had a secret clearance....scary, eh?).njbill wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 7:41 am

Right. He's on the same merry-go-round as you.
