Saw them play against LIU. They were by far the smallest D1 team I’ve seen and they got pushed around by LIU.
Makes sense though, they lost their top 5 scorers and their All MAAC FOGO.
Gravante left the cupboard pretty bare.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024
I haven’t seen a ssdm running away from the ball in awhile. Bizarre. Sometimes I think the coaches out coach themselves. Defense was fine. Offense was a disaster and Michigan wanted it more in the middle of the field Defensive zone missed ground balls was the story. Count 3-4 UM goals coming off of...

Woo boy that press release is short. Some thoughts on Brown. Just spitballing/pure speculation: Kip Turner - UVA assistant Mason Poli - Quinnipiac HC Ryan Wellner - Notre Dame DC Mike Silipo - BU OC Chris Gabrielli - Bryant assistant Neil Hutchinson - Harvard OC Casey Ikeda - Penn DC I don't see ma...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024
I originally brought up Bucknell's Frank Fedorjaka. I think they give him another chance. Not only is his relationship with the university strong, but he had a super young team this year. All top ten scorers will return in 2025. And eight were either freshmen or sophomores. Two of the defenders, as...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024
I would hate for this to be the case, since he is well-liked and, all-together, has had a nice run. However, could Bucknell's Frank Fedorjaka be next? The Bison play their last game of the season Friday night at Navy. Take this back. Bucknell has a very, very young team. I bet they give him at leas...

Re: Duke Fans
Word around LI is O’Neill is nursing a bad injury. If I am Duke and I already have clinched an NCAA birth, I sit him, and start Slusher.
I don’t see any benefit of having him hobble around out there.

Re: Syracuse 2024
Felt like Syracuse lost this one more than Cornell won it. They were up big early and halted their own run with a bunch of stupid penalties. 4 man up goals, 9 minutes of penalties, and a bunch of stupid turnovers lead to Cornell sticking around a little too long. That one has to hurt for orange fan...

Re: NJIT
Great job by the Highlanders. However, it’s not hard to see that the majority of the top contributors were from the previous regime. Wolf has done a great job in scheduling in particular. The previous coach totally over-scheduled (Delaware, Army, Princeton, etc.) Wolf will need to prove he can win ...

Re: NJIT
Their resiliency is a huge credit to their coaching staff. In all 4 of their wins, they have had 2nd half comebacks.
They could be 7-0 by the time America East play rolls around.

Re: St. Bonaventure 2024
Not really. I’ve been watching Dobson, admittedly is pro box, in the NLL last year and this and he’s better than even Dillon Ward who carried Bellarmine under Kevin burns to a top 20 ranking at one point. Absent getting another wildly underrated elite goalie like that they are probably stuck. Mearn...

Re: The Top Current Assistants In DI?
I really like the DC at Bucknell. They do some really interesting things on that side of the ball. Dont have the talent for it always to show up, but I would love to see their DC with some legit talent There is no DC at Bucknell. It is Fedoraka's defense and he's been running the same pressure defe...

Re: Navy 2024
I just want to see Navy to continue to push transition. I felt that’s where they broke the game open last week. It’s something I haven’t seen out of them in a long time. Between Marsh, Bonitz, and LiCalzi, that is a very long, athletic and close defense. Then throw in Peters and the DMids and you ha...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Bit of prisoners dilemma but something to consider- would you run zone a good percentage of time vs Hopkins? Downside is they have snipers. Upside is you lessen the amount of off ball layups we saw vs Loyola. Possible big upside is Moore sees it well and handles the outside shots as opposed to what...

Re: NESCAC
A little off topic here, but I have a question about a NESCAC team... I have been one of the people who for the last 4-5 years kept thinking "this is the year Middlebury makes some noise..." and finally in 2023 I think we could see some significant results for them in that light. I am ver...

Re: NESCAC
All over the place? I've been consistent throughout this thread. This isn't about one player, it's about the illusion that NESCACians have about the league. Are the players good, absolutely, but there's reasons they're playing D3, not as big, fast, strong, skilled as most D1 players. Some like the ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
Paging Colby College, any word out of Waterville? Nescac program with no head coach, although maybe that is an upgrade from the last 5 years? But seriously, why is this taking so long? The 'cac finally has fall ball and Colby decides to not hire coach throughout the entire off season.... It looks l...

From NEC’s website: NEC men's lacrosse sponsorship will recommence with seven competing programs, as core members Le Moyne, LIU, Merrimack, Sacred Heart, and Wagner will be joined by affiliates Detroit Mercy and VMI. So reports are out that Merrimack and SHU are joining MAAC as full time members. W...

He is stepping down due to lingering health concerns. I was told he's been dealing with a serious issue for the last 5 years. Can Opener wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 7:36 am It looks like GVA is parting ways with Colby. This is tricky timing as the team tries to complete its recruiting of the '24 HS class.
