Re: D3 lax media coverage
Yes, the IL D3 rankings have been Dan Kaplan's take for some time now. It is not a poll. Granted he is one individual, but there are a number of "misses" IMO. It would have been a little better if he just cut and pasted based on certain results from the tournament last year. But hey it's ...

Re: NESCAC
Anybody think Hamilton beats Lynchburg at the Mustang Classic? The Colonials seem on a gradual improvement track. I think Lynchburg is one of the best tier two teams in the country. Tier one this year is the top 4 teams. Don’t know much about Hamilton, but it would be a surprise if they managed to ...

Re: York 2024
Someone had previously asked about how the schedule strength measures up compared to others. From yesterday’s Expected goals -“ A closer look reveals that York's non-conference Strength-of-Schedule is projected to be 1st, showcasing the program's commitment to testing itself against the best out of...

Re: Starts dates for D3 teams
This comment above is probably the most Accurate assessment. Everything is relative to what you know. For those of us whose kids were recruited by both mid level D1 and upper level D3. Probably like most others, our kids played for top level club programs where most of the team is playing in college...

Re: Can a D3 team without grad players win the National Title
I checked. Tufts didnt have any grads last season. They dominated the season and almost beat SU (a team stacked with 5th and 6th year) If it was all about 5th and 6th year players to win a natty, CNU has always had the most. They can even get to the final 4. With that said. SU bringing in 3 D1 trans...

Doesn’t tufts not have grads?Dehuntshigwa’es wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 7:56 pm Looking at various D3 rosters and the number of 5th year players those teams have is it realistic to think a program without 5th years can win a title.

Re: Starts dates for D3 teams
As has been said, what difference really is there between college lacrosse and football and basketball? I love seeing the results of the annual pre-season Ohio St. vs Mt. Union scrimmage. Is this sarcasm? NCAA football and basketball are saturated with teams. The best players go D1. Lacrosse only h...

Re: Starts dates for D3 teams
NESCAC practices begin 2/5. That’s not even D3. Like D3 lite. Playing half of a season. Just kidding. When does NJIT start? What are the D3 D1 scrimmages this spring. And what games will be real games? York plays Wagner. That should be a full scrimmage. We should get an idea of a top 15 D3 vs a low...

Scrimmage this weekend at USNA. Going to be cold. But should be evenly matched teams.

D3 lax media coverage
What’s going on with media coverage lately for D3 lax? The last few seasons, we were seeing multiple writeups about the upcoming season talk of upcoming scrimmages. Previews of top teams. I haven’t seen anything. Inside lacrosse used to have someone assigned to D3. I just checked his twitter, he doe...

Lynchburg, CNU, UPENN, and UVA are scrimmaging on Feb 3 @ Episcopal High School in Alexandria. Do we know times yet, or has it not been released? Assuming there will be 2 games at a time, 3 quarters each. 12:30 - CNU vs Lynchburg & UVA vs. Penn 2:00 - UVA vs. Lynchburg & UPenn vs. CNU More ...

Re: Salisbury 2024
Cole Herbert not eligible for the season, able to return for the 2025 season but unsure since he will graduate this year. He was slated to be 4th midfielder after Dowd, bromwell, and Nestor. Was very excited to see how he would contribute. Did Salisbury just learn that he isn’t eligible? Or was it ...

Re: York 2024
I am a little disappointed that CNU will not be at Towson as I think they are loaded and would give them a heck of a run. With that being said this scrimmage will be an interesting test to the theory that The top of Division 3 can compete and win against the lower part of Division 1. I had heard th...

Re: York 2024
If these are full game scrimmages, I see York over Wagner by several
I think York will need Bucknell to sit all starters to keep that game close.
