Re: Orange Duce
First, he ain't gonna win. Second, let's have any retrial in August or September. Third, this is a state case. He can't pardon himself or order his goons to drop the prosecution. Your pretty confident. He SHOULDN'T win. His opponent is scarily reminiscent of HRC. Joe Biden could be the only Democra...

Re: Online argument poll -- Middlebury
When Final Four weekend was at PPL Park a few years back, at least one year they played the D3 final right before the D1 final. I watched both games. While the skill levels between the D3 and D1 teams were somewhat comparable (certainly not worlds apart), there was a huge difference in foot speed. I...

Re: Orange Duce
Judgment day very likely is coming for Trump later in the week. My odds: 50% conviction 45% hung jury 5% acquittal. This assumes there is no Trump plant on the jury. I don’t think there is, but it is possible. I think the most important factor is how strong willed will any hold outs for acquittal be...

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
Disappointing result, but an exciting game. Northwestern had two point blank looks at the end and couldn’t cash. I loved that play on the free position at the end. It was there just dolce came up big. Sure some are gonna second guess and say she should’ve shot but they had a point blank look to tie...

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
Well, I guess we are back to square one. We disagree. Yes, it was an athletic move to kick her leg out after it was clear the shot had beaten her stick. That was the “good” part of the save. But she was also lucky the ball hit her shin. The bottom line is she made the save. Whether you think it was ...

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
Was not rooting for BC at all. Don’t have a dog in the fight. Really appreciate KAH greatness at NW. No hyperbole either. Does shin or foot really matter? It didn’t just magically appear there. It arrived there intentionally, while in mid air. I think you are caught up in the moment of a loss if yo...

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
Huh? It didn’t hit her shin? You might want to look at the replay.
My post was in response to your saying the save was “so unbelievably good.” Maybe you were rooting for BC and got caught up in the moment with your hyperbole. That’s fine. Congratulations to your team.

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
The Dolce save at the end of the game is so unbelievably good. And for it happen at the biggest possible moment of the season is unreal. Non goalie, non goalie parents….take note and recognize! You might get one save like that an entire season…and it comes at the biggest stage and time. Unreal. Let...

Small nit, but that can’t be true. At one point Dolce had let in five goals with no saves.

Re: WLax Broadcasts and Publications: Comments/Reviews
I have generally thought she has been pretty good and that she has handled what for a young broadcaster and recent graduate has to be a pretty tough assignment, that is, calling a game involving your alma mater. But today the homer has really come out. At least she’s not Johnny Most.

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
Refs calling it closely so far. Interesting. I’m OK with that. I hate the physical play in today’s game. And these two teams are probably the worst offenders. 'Cept you can't let 'em play one way all year and change it up on NC day. They're calling it too tight for my taste. I’ll say one thing. If ...

Re: Lots of these girls….
It’s too bad that so many career records (NCAA and individual schools) will be held by girls that played 6 years I assume you are talking about Izzy. She played four full seasons plus 7 games in 2020. I certainly agree that in retrospect, granting the extra Covid year was a mistake, but that is wat...
