Re: Coaching Carousal
Wow, no more Chris Ryan. Erie is a tough place to sell, so it will be an interesting applicant pool. But obviously Ryan proved you can build a consistent contender at Mercyhurst. Team seems to returning a good chunk with AA's Gleason, McCard, Morley and Landymore. So the cupboard isn't bare for the ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1
Cuse should be interviewing Jake Coon HC RIT. He brings everything thet need to the table. He coached the UMASS D when they went to the title game. He is an excellent goalie coach. He is a CNY/WNY guy. He is excellent with recruiting and people. He recruits the kind of player GG likes. Great connec...

Re: MOUNT ST MARYS 2023
All seems very quiet on the coaching front here, any whispers as to who might be in the running I am wondering the same thing. Wondering if it may be at least another month due to the new AD's tenure not officially beginning until then. Friend on the board of trustees says the following New AD is g...

Re: RIP Cabrini
Sad day. The 2019 Semifinal game vs. Salisbury was like a heavyweight boxing match. Both teams went punch for punch, with Cabrini just having more in the tank. 21 NCAA invites for the men 18 NCAA invites for the women, just behind Gettysburg in terms of Pennsylvania schools. Cabrini is the last Penn...

Word is that they have not elevated anything within the lacrosse team.gymman1031 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:48 pm Any predictions as to who may be next in line at Queens?
Essentially they are a D1 program with a D2 budget and D2 coaches pay.

Without Le Moyne, the North is in flux. 1. Mercyhurst 2. Adelphi 3. Seton Hill 4. Mercy 5. Saint Anselm 6. Bentley 7. Pace 8. Frostburg From a Rochester perspective, Hurst had been out recruiting Le Moyne in WNY and CNY for the last 2 years. That is a first and I expect their surge to continue. It s...

Re: NCAA Tournament Results
First congrats to LR, I don’t think it would have mattered what Mercyhurst team showed up, LR was going to win by 4-5 goals. Hurst flat-out looked exhausted playing in the National Championship. They made a ton of mistakes I had not seen them make all year. They had trouble just clearing the ball an...

I can’t believe Lemoyne doesn’t have any All Americans, except for one.. Insane They are undefeated Clearly, USA Lacrosse Magazine used Southern coaches to make the team. Pezzimenti was the NE10 Player of the Year yet was 2nd team behind Duchnowski at Adelphi. McCard the reigning USILA DMid of the ...

Re: NCAA Championship Probabilities
This debate happens every year and is foolish. From what I have seen, there is not much difference between RIT, Mercyhurst and Le Moyne. Yet Massey has RIT blowing both teams out (Which is never the case). I watched Le Moyne and RIT in the fall of 2021 scrimmage in which Le Moyne was up 7-6 when sta...

Re: At-Large Predictions based on RPI, SOS and Quality Wins
I think the top 4 in each region according to the last NCAA regional rankings have clinched and are just jockeying for position. NORTH Le Moyne Adelphi Mercyhurst Mercy The winner of the Pace/St. Anslem game this weekend will probably decide the 5th spot. Then it comes down to see if Bentley can bea...

Is Limestone completely okay with being in the middle of the pack in Division 2. This once decorated program is definitely looking like that over the past 2 years. The hiring of a head coach with limited head coaching experience ($$$?), followed by the hiring of completely inexperienced assistant c...

Down goes Tampa.
Good for Frostburg and Coach Gartelman. He has those guys playing very well together. Especially since this is their first season where they can make the NCAA tournament.

Re: 2023 Scores in DII
I actually think D2 is getting considerably stronger. If you look at the top 10, You have 4 teams whose programs are 15 years old or younger. Rollins- 2008 (15 years) Mercy- 2010 (13 Years) Lenoir Rhyne- 2010 (13 Years) Tampa- 2012 (11 Years) I think people fail to realize that D2 is still relativel...
