Is Lacrosse an "Aristocrat Sport?"

I can’t say i prefer one to the other but Foxwoods is the one i know something about.

I was involved in many Indian issues from 1993 - 2003. Foxwoods had a lot going on. I was a plus one at 5 International Whaling Conferences, ( treaty law ) been to a few dozen Rez, flew to Alaska in January one year for a dinner with an Inuit leader( you left the plane on a people mover bcs Polar Bears). In 1998 Ada Deer ( nothing runs like a deer) left the Clinton Administration. I was one of 3/4 non Indians at her drumming ceremony. My SO was perhaps the leading practitioner of Indian Treaty Law. I had competencies that meshed well with her work.

Moon Face Bear was in our bank to meet with our CEO in the early 1990’s…..Our parking garage security guard shoved him up against the wall and tried to take his buck knife away as he walked in….mall cop type…. A few years later the guard was fired for harassing women…..

Texas probably has a lot of high schools with nicer football facilities than some of the d1 lacrosse fields and probably gets more local coverage and attendance.

Texas probably has a lot of high schools with nicer football facilities than some of the d1 lacrosse fields and probably gets more local coverage and attendance.

Actually nicer than a LOT of D1 lacrosse fields and certainly with a larger seating capacity. Michigan, OSU open new facilities with 5k which would be small in Texas HS football.

Very cool, one day I'll have to hear more I find that fascinating. My last interaction was with this Paiute tribe around some mortgage business they needed to unwind that some generic non NA folks propped them on but we're picking the gains like they were fishing in a pond that had been bombed.

Ok, most D1 BB have been shrinking their facilities last number of years. Not sure that's an indicator of anything other than that Texas cares too much about football which is well documented. They can document Ali Larter and whipped cream more however if there's ever a Friday Night Lights sequel.

Under Armour is large but let’s at least scale it: Sub $6Bn in rev and that’s with heavily stuffing their channels if you see retail inventory issues and a mkt cap where $475mm would represent 8-9% of that.

It’s more than I’ve got but when everyone goes “all That under armour money” seems relevant to actually put some scale around it.
