Highest seed: makes the regular season record even more important. Of course, if the league isn't geographically compact or coherent, I can see knowing early.

It is certainly easier for family, friends and logistics to have a site determined at the beginning of the year

I like the top seed hosting. That’s the long-standing rule for the CAA except when Delaware is the top seed. For some dumb reason Delaware only hosted once even though they’ve been the top seed the last three years. They’ll get screwed this year too if they beat Towson Friday night and win the top seed for the fourth straight year. Another dumb CAA decision because Delaware is leaving the CAA after ‘25 they are eliminated from hosting for the next two years. Small-minded conference.

For a variety of reasons i cannot see top seed for final four.

Revenue potential, housing for athletes and fans including affordability, logistics for TV, event staffing, parking availability, stadium capacity, etc
