2023 world lacrosse men's championship redux

Post by wgdsr »

dear mods,
thank you for this site for discussion and engagement and community. much appreciated.

can we have the thread that was previously here on div 1 forums moved back? no one goes to the international thread, if they even knows where it is, to get engagement.

so it will die there. there likely wouldn't be any objection to moving it there post-tourney if someone thought it was necessary for whatever reason.

Not happening any time soon.

Personally I believe this final is about Canada’s offense versus the US’ defense.

Both of those units are stacked.

Dillon Ward has picked it up, but Riorden may be the best goalie on the planet right now.

Face-off advantage to US could be the difference.

There's some social media controversy about a late hit in the England vs Japan game. I was able to see the hit on Twitter. Andrew Baxter hit a Japanese player from the side and fell on top of him. It was hard to tell if it was intentional or an accident, but the hit seemed late. Japan Lacrosse tweeted that their player was alright.

Any added information would be interesting.

Didn't see it but Japan won. Looks like they will replace England in Group A in '24. The game's growing.

Got to have a lot of respect for how Japan has built their national program.

What say you?

Canada gets a revenge goal and wins by 1.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Could happen... it's noteworthy to see so many Tewaaraton winners on the field for the USA. Both sides goalies are playing very well.
