Upper Iowa has had difficulties from the start. They were to begin in 2018-19 but that got postponed to the next season due to the small roster. The first game was finally played in 2020 then everything was shut down. After two games were cancelled in 2021, they decided to cancel the season also due to the small roster. A full 2022 season was played with a roster of 15 players.

Will Augustana have similar problems? They will be the first varsity program in South Dakota. It has already been announced that the first varsity season will be delayed to 2025-26 after being a club team for 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Iowa Wrestling vs. Iowa Lacrosse. Despite the awesomeness of our sport, that's a pretty serious uphill battle.
