Suggestion for new season

Post by Uklax »

So I also play fantasy premier league and the following has been pretty obvious all season:
1. Games will be postponed/cancelled due to covid
2. Player will have to isolate due to covid
3. Players will get injured more often due to shortened pre-season
4. Coaches won't give any of it away
5. Unlike a normal season having a sub bench is pretty vital due to points 1-4

With this in mind I have a suggestion for the game format for this season only, a mini subs bench, it would work like this:

Pick playing team as normal
3x attack
3x Mid
1x D

You would also pick:
1x attack
1x mid
As a bench.

These players only play in the correct positions (e.g. a mid will not sub in for an attack) and will only play if 0 minutes are logged by the originally selected players. Should your sub not play you will still receive 0 points.

This is just an idea I've come up with as a suggestion based on experience of another fantasy game during the pandemic. I appreciate its a change and admin may say no but just thought id put it out there :)

It's a good idea. Hopefully we won't need it and... It's a good idea. Just in case.

We'll see. I don't think it'll be necessary.
