There was some good stuff out there, but agree that the turnovers must stop.Ryan Archer is a complete pleasure to watch.

Win the FO battle 23/7, +26 GBs but we only win by 2?

I guess I’m happy we get the 2 seed but we can’t afford to have 19 total TOs and only 2 saves in the 2nd half against Bryant on Weds.

Hey, hat off to William Smith.... they lost during the regular season twice to Ithaca but just beat them in the Liberty League Tournament. Maybe they can give some advice to the boys..... like settle down, no turnovers, clear them all and score on all the EMO try's.

I was only able to catch the last quarter on the radio. There were some scary moments. Sounded like both FO were on fire, with Blanchard getting a couple of goals. Anyone see the game? EMO certainly worked better. Can anyone give a sense of what looked good and what needs work? Sounds like turnovers are still a problem.

So while back end got loose second half, and seem like Holtby isn’t see the ball as well lately, but missed the game and looking ag box score we got 8,8,16 on 30 shots w 6gbs, 4TOs and 1Ct from the top three on our offense. Next three, in this case Dattellas, Groom CBD Barthelme had 4,2,6 on 11 shots (TOs>Gbs here). Throw in Bach and Blanchard goal.

Think we can start to count on Dattellas game to game at end of season here now. 10,3,13 on 35%+ shooting in 8 games is good. Extrapolate our to normal 14-16 game season and that’s on the order of 17-20 goals, 5-6 assists and 25 ish pts as a FR.

Some won’t like this but I don’t know how much more we can let Simas have green light and unlimited run as we’re basically two full seasons in and he’s below 20% on nearly 100 shots w well less than 50% on cage and a negative GB/TO ratio. He hustles and works hard it’s clear but I can’t think if anyone under Raymond who had that kind of latitude for so long. 29 games and 97 shots, think third most on team this year.

High hopes for Bach and Grooms but they are still developing. So feel good about having a fourth option defenses need to focus on at least.

BTW, how about Mueller w 7 and Baltzer w 6 gbs yesterday? That’s impressive when a FOGO has double digits.

I'm looking at the glass is half full side right now. With all the absolute amount of shooting ourselves in the foot with the shooting, clearing, unforced errors, etc., we are a blown 6-goal home game loss by one and a two-goal road loss to a 24-save goalie effort (no problem getting the shots on goal that game!) from GOING UNDEFEATED.

Regardless of the schedule that's pretty close to great.

Of course even an undefeated season would have gotten us squat in the USILA poll, which somehow gave votes to Michigan and JHU last week with 2-8 records and votes to Penn for their scintillating one-game D3 winning streak . . . I went on a rant about that on my YouTube channel.

The game will be carried by NEC Frontrow. Not sure if Ted Baker will be doing his usual fun commentary. L Roggy is right. If the team can cut down on self inflicted wounds, they can get the W. One advantage Bryant has is 8 days rest. While Hobart is coming off of 3 games in 7 days. I'm guessing the Bulldogs sent MSM a thank you present for cancelling. Crunch time Statesmen!!

Bryant benefits from the rest. But we benefit from 3 games in 8 days. Fatigue shouldn't be a problem at this level, and I am hopeful the frequent play might help us loosen up and establish a rhythm. But I cant say I know what to expect .... which Hobart team will show?

LRoggy -

Noted on twitter this am SJU is ranked in all 3 polls.

Could / should have been us. Guess we can prove them wrong starting tmw but I’m really not confident about this matchup bc of all the TOs and recent GK play.

Does anyone know if there is way to watch the game later in the day? I have that pesky work thing that will make it impossible to watch the game.

I just noticed there isn't a video link on the Hobart lax website (yet). Does HWS have to give way to NEC Front Row even though it's a home game for the Statesmen??

Assuming it ends up on NEC Front Row, you can access the playback via:
