The overly sensitive and fragile world of wlax where any mention of physical attribute is immediately twisted to objectification and will shatter the delicate wlaxer's feeling of self worth.

Indeed, it's quite alright to stomp around in the wlax world with harsh words of criticism but dare ye not mention how nice the braided hair looks as that's highly inappropriate and cringeworthy. While I respect Mrs. 8meter's right to her opinion I disagree with it. The time to pay a woman, young or old, a compliment has not passed, not by a long shot. Was in the grocery store two days ago, the young cashier had her hair in braids, two of them, one on each side a little below the shoulders in length. I'm a noticer, if you come in with your hair frosted a little along with a little different hair do I will notice that and tell you it looks nice. What I'm more likely to get than a scowl is a thank you, DMac, you're the only one who noticed and said something (this has happened to me more than once).
Promise you this, if I don't know who Meg Carney and Emma Ward are and they're standing in front of me in line at the Post Office with some sort of lacrosse jersey on I'm saying to those two, "I'm bettin' you two fit, nice looking young ladies aren't just wearing those jerseys, I'm bettin' you are lacrosse players." Now what do you think would happen after that, a scowl, slap in the face and dash to get as far away from me as quickly as possible, or a smile and "yes, we are" followed by a pleasant, however brief, conversation? I know the answer to that because I've done it (not with those two but I'd welcome opportunity).
You walk on eggshells in the overly sensitive world of wlax in this respect. Noticing the feminine touch of a ribbon in the hair of a wlaxer isn't cringeworthy and doesn't mean that you don't see good athletes competing on the field. It's not a bad thing folks, some of you are just overly protective, quickly lose your sense of humor and way too thin skinned about it all.
Maria Sharapova, Anna Kournakova, Serena Williams, Alex Aust and many, many other female athletes don't seem be so thinned skinned or mind being complimented. Just sayin'.

Please. No one likes being falsely accused—anonymously or not. I can’t go along with a blithe attitude regarding slander. It’s illegal in the outside world for a reason. It should be illegal here. If a member can’t provide a quote as proof as to what another member has written, then that member shouldn’t engage in slanderous personal attacks. Period—paragraph—story over.
