Played in every game his first 2 years at Denver.
That’s one of the more bizarre transfer stories I’ve seen.. D1 lacrosse starter from a school who made the final 4 transfers halfway through college to a slightly above average D3 basketball team in upstate New York.
Well, he is from update so if he was looking to switch to hoops I guess that makes some sense but must haven fallen out of love with lax, plenty of places in NY he could have transferred for that and likely seen plenty of time.

Looks like he was a 3x All-CNY basketball player- Very athletic. Upstate connection makes sense. Like laxguy said, I was just surprised.

Especially after watching him ball in the NCAA's. He's a stud. He's the dmid that stripped Spallina in NCAA's (Also got Player of the game that game)

AA Pole Kastner at Virginia is spending his 5th year at Stanford as a recruited member of their basketball team.....He claimed that he loved basketball the most so good for him on getting into grad school at possibly the most elite University and certainly in the top 2-3.

Stanford's basketball team is in need of bodies. They lost a ton to the transfer portal after their new coach was hired. I consider it tops - certainly above ivies for CS, engineering, and in general. I may or may not have multiple degrees from SoE and GSB there. Brody sometimes seen on campus as well.

I don't think it's bizarre at all. Playing 15%-20% of a game as a d-middie versus the possibility of playing most of the hoops season (that has many more games) on both ends of the court is not a certain decision. Plus it's not like Denver lacrosse is a much higher level athletic experience than D3 hoops; the only clear difference would be making the Final Four.

Funny story at Hobart, Ali Marpet was strongly considering going to Cordham for football or play basketball somewhere and our coach (Cragg) suggested he might be able to play both FB and BB but once he got on campus that changed thisfast to “nope, that ain’t happening son” and the rest became NFL history.

Denver lacrosse IS CLEARLY a better athletic experience than D3 hoops. But St. Lawrence is a step up academically and closer to home. Not sure about the scholie

Has he flat out stated he won’t eventually play Lax at SLU as well? They’ve been a pretty solid/consistent D3 program and generally are ranked nationally..

I could only imagine what his potential future business network would look like being an alumni of both programs there, and plenty of athletes do the duel sport route at that level

Tough since the seasons overlap to a degree. Even more so if the SLU hoops team makes the D3 tournament.

I’d imagine that would be more on the player to decide if he’d want to do it as I’m sure Mahoney would love to have him for his own league slate (he’s still play ~75%+ of the schedule)

Westminster (D2/UT) "Do-it-all" Middie Camden Rossi transferring to Loyola (Per IG).
43 points: 31G's 12A's, 42 GB's and 9 CT's in 2 years.

Going in as a junior. Was 2x RMAC Middie Of The Year as a Freshman and Sophomore. Heard he had a bunch of D1's interested. Obviously, a big jump from D2 to D1 but he looks like a pretty good player.

Football and lax can’t do either winter sport mixed w fall or spring.

Knowing the LL well we’re not talking Dartmouth alum network (considered among the most tight knit of them all). I’m sure it’ll work out but you may be asking for way too much for not enough payoff.

I haven’t seen it posted elsewhere but appears from the teams latest instagram post that former Army attackman Ryan DiRocco ended up at Penn State.
