How about the bacon from Peter Lugers? If folks haven’t been, and The NY Times critic is an out to lunch crackhead, it’s the best steakhouse in this country.

But, if we think he is small, take a look at Declan Folliard from Chaminade. 5 foot 5 and 135 pounds. And the there is Gilbert Cooper from St. Christopher’s….5 feet 3 and 110 pounds.
Maybe getting lost in game chaos is their secret weapon. I know that in a high school football game, we were playing Georgetown Prep and they had a very small RB who ran behind several linemen with were the sons of former Washington Redskins. We could never find him until he spiked the ball in the end zone.
This is the model IMO - there’s others who were small but guy was a rockstar for Bucknell and diminutive

An excellent example of how lacrosse can be much more than just a game. I remember vividly a tournament at UVA with W&M, W&L, Loyola, and UVA. W&L may have won that tournament, but to show how quickly things changed, W&L moved to D3 and W&M moved to club status a few years later.

A new commit, Willy Carpenter, a middle from MICDS. Anyone know much about him? I believe that he was listed as an all-American, but I’m not certain.

Agree. Is it typical for schools to recruit equal amount of HS seniors to the same amount of college seniors that are planning to graduate??

I think that is an unstated goal, but only if you get players who have a high opportunity to play and contribute. It does no good to have players just riding the bench and the sharing their frustration with potential recruits around the lacrosse world. It seems to me that there are a lot of bloated rosters, where half or more rarely see the field unless it is during a blowout.

If the Gennies can stack a couple of recruiting classes on top of each other like last years they are going to be a dangerous bunch. Looking forward to seeing their progression over the fall and spring.

Totally agree. And winning not only breeds confidence, but also breeds a “talent pipeline” which is the secret to consistent success.

Gennies went 2-1 in OC.
CNU Captains 2-1 also.
York (Jackson St) 0-2 but playing in A division.

Any idea who some of the Gennies’ participants are? Are they mostly just the first years?

No - It is most of the team. 30+ players on team.

Gennies lost to Randolph Macon (Tequilla Mockingbird) this morning in OT 8-7.

My understanding is it’s 3 seniors. Missing Burns, Brown, Elliott, Albregt, Allen, Mannino, Cohen, Beatty, Heald… so basically they have 1 or 2 starters present.

Heard they had a great time though
