A Navy win would guarantee a playoff game at home next Tuesday. That would be really nice given all the adversity this season.
I think Navy will be alright. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it is a close game. The Bison will want to end this disappointing season in a positive way.

If so, he might find the experience of Cindy Timchal to be relevant.
Absolutely! I think about that all the time when it comes to Tills maybe coming to Navy someday.
I think you miss my point. Timchal won eight(!) national championships as HC of Maryland, and then zero (with one final four) in 16 years as HC at Navy. Moral: even enormous success at Maryland does not automatically translate into success at Navy.

Exactly. Let's keep the Tills fantasy alive and well every few years by stoking it at the expense of the current Navy coach.

Back to my liquid meds after this thread morphed as expected..........

Don't get me wrong! I wish we didn't have talks about it. They only come up when people bash Amplo and want him gone. I am not one of those people.

When anonymous "fans" call for a coaching change, take it with a grain of salt. They may not be interested in the long term prospects of the program.

They may have other agendas & are just looking to cause trouble, or they may have a vested interest in a specific player or players, rather than the overall program.

Amplo was astute coming into the job. He reached out to the lax alums. He embraced the tradition, gave all the holdover players & those recruited before his tenure a fair shot, & did not make immediate cuts.

Yes, that is all so true! And he did a great job with all of that.

Navy did what they had to do and took care of business against a Bucknell squad that had nothing to lose. 12-9 final. Now, back to Annapolis for a quarterfinal tournament game against Loyola.

Loyola clearly fading late in the season. Can Navy execute well enough to beat them twice this season and advance to the PLT in Boston?
One can only hope.

Let's hope so. Would be interesting to know if any PL Tournament Champ ever had to get through 3 games in one week.

To all - I plan to go, weather permitting....send me a PM if you want to catch up before the game starts.

I expect Loyola to travel to NMCS ready to play and drive home victorious. Army in 2019 is only team to win 3 times to win PL Championship.

Something tells me Loyola turns it on, defeats Navy, and at least makes the tournament championship. I hope I am wrong, though.

I'm always wary of Loyola. Sometimes they play up to their potential, their clippings, & their early season wins.

FO's & goal tending will likely determine the outcome.

Hearing Midfielder Patrick Skalniak, who was believed to have suffered a season-ending injury, is starting for Navy against Loyola.

Not a great night for Navy so far. On the other-hand, Loyola may be playing their finest lax of the season thus far.

Offense not used to have #29 out there maybe the problem

that’s sounds like a back handed comment towards Loyola, implying Navy is really good. 🫣
