Great win! Missed the game. Did Loyola have a chance to tie at the end?
11-10 Navy. They sure made it harder for themselves. Coach missed a TO when 26 cleared it and was smoked wirh under .45 sec.youthathletics wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 2:23 pm Back in October, I guessed a Win, (9-8) Fri., Apr 7 at Loyola
Who do you have, gymman?
Outstanding win for the Mids! Wish I had bet the game!ExLax wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 10:10 pmAgreed - others are stepping up as Skalniak, Swanson & Arline are not currently involved (?). 'hounds see this as 'must win' and feel the pressure from their base for this in state and PL matchup. Ridley is a tough venue - given recent trends take Navy 12 -10 upset over Loyola!gymman1031 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:48 pm On to Loyola Friday evening. Liking Navy's chances a lot more now.
Pat with 23 saves is unreal. Sure wish our shooters from outside could hit the broad side of a barn on a regular basis. They start dropping a few more of those shots, and we might start scoring on avg more than 10-11 each game. The Orfling wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 10:27 pm Pat RYAN. (And Tolker and Hewitt and Hovivian and Ghobriel.) Not sure why Navy didn’t call a timeout and tell their guys to stop taking the bait of taking 30 yard shots at the open net, but it worked out. And super impressed with Navy’s composure after Loyola got 3 quick goals to start the fourth.
Congratulations to the Mids! Keep it rolling, boys.
My ? was not about that. Sorry for the confusion.youthathletics wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 10:55 pmAssuming they (Loyola) don’t win the PL, their QW over Terps and JHU, is diminished by the loss to Navy.
Jobu working for Navy, Army, BU & Loyola to finish 6-2 & Lehigh 5-3 in PL. Big mojo.old salt wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 11:05 pmMy ? was not about that. We now need Loyola to win out to help us in seeding for the PLT.
When Jobu comes out on behalf of Navy MLAX, that's when things start hopping. Really still enjoying that win again today. So many good moments to mentally replay.old salt wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 11:11 pmJobu working for Navy, Army, BU & Loyola to finish 6-2 & Lehigh 5-3 in PL. It is wide open right now....Would need to be the 3 seed to host the QF game. I believe to get the 3 seed, as it stands now, we just need Lehigh to lose a couple more games, Navy wins out and BU wins out. If both BU and Lehigh lose a couple more and we win out, we could end up the the two seed. If not mistaken, If Army falls to Navy and BU, and we win out, and lehigh does not tie our record, we could actually end up the 1 seed.essorcalveritas wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 11:35 am To answer a previous post, it appears 24 did NOT suit up for the Loyola game.
Given the past two games (both big wins against Top 20 teams), it seems reaching the PLT is much more reasonable at this point in the season. I also think it is realistic to hope for a 2-1 record going forward this season. I realize one can take nothing for granted but the team seems to be figuring things out at the right time (especially learning how to win close games).
What other results in the PL should the Mids be hoping for to get the most favorable seed in the PLT? Any realistic chance of getting a home game in the first round?
