HS GIRLS NC: Yesterday, Tomorrow (Tue 03/16/21)
NC HS Play-Offs started yesterday and (1) These were the Best games, (2) There was an upset, and (3) These are Wednesday's Best Games including the Teams and their Rankings.

Looks like Northern Guilford and Northwest Guilford may have gotten switched in the upcoming games section.

Four blowouts in the West, with Weddington, NW Guilford, Myers Park and Charlotte Catholic all advancing. A couple of tighter games in the East saw Wake Forest and Holly Springs move on. Gibbons and East Chapel Hill both rolled. 3rd round next Monday.

These, in order, are Monday’s Best Games. Not only are these the #1, #2, #3, and #4 Best Games of Monday, these are also, in order, the #1, #2, #5, and #10 Best Games of this season.

Definitely think the State champion is coming out of the West semi-final this year. If Weddington can win some draws against Catholic, should roll to victory.

If I were a betting man, I'd go with Weddington... which is why I enjoy rooting for everyone else (and Weddington).

Agree. Weddington has had Catholic's number the two times they played in the regular season. Weddington is back fully healthy - don't see why the outcome will be any different.

That's exactly it. They were dominating, looked to have an undefeated season, coast to a State championship and then... oops. (Apparently this oops involved an injury to a critical player.) I have never reason to believe there's going to be another oops.
