Have to wonder if W&L can sustain this season considering their history.

Also lets not forget the fact their coach is the poster boy for “somebody get that man his keys” after a night out on the town. #DUILegend

Not sure why anyone needs to spout an unsubstantiated rumor here. Let’s focus on the game.

Some really good games this weekend for the ODAC. I'm going to go with the home team in each contest.
Stevenson 8 Lynchburg 13 - Should be tight for most of the game but the Hornets are too strong.
RMC 11 WAC 13 - WAC has improved and played well this year.
Swarthmore 12 Noke 13 - Nail biter, this one could go to OT.
Gettysburg 8 W&L 9 - W&L continues their magical run with another 2nd half comeback.
Ohio Northern 9 Bridgewater 11 - Two undefeated teams go at it.
Penn Coll 9 Shenandoah 10 - The Hornets played St. Marys to a tight game but St. Marys blew out Penn

Said it before, this site is not the place to talk about anyone’s personal life.

W&L fixes slow 1st half starts and jumps on Gettysburg at home. Hangs on with strong D in 2nd half. Burns will get a lot of attention and shows he can handle it. 13-11 W&L

NOKE knows they are better and arrives with a chip, has let down in 2nd half but takes home the win. Defense stays a bit more in control and Luke has 5 assists. 12-10 NOKE

LYN tonight under the lights at home..They are hungry after Salisbury loss. This is 1st of 4 games in 8 day brutal spring break stretch (Travel to Tufts for Tuesday tilt then Mustang classic) I expect to see the 5 platooning SSDMs and 2nd line Middies seeing more time in preparation for this long week. Stevie won’t lay down. 14-9 LYN

Good luck to Bridgewater and rest of ODAC teams.

Indeed the Hornets/Jumbos matchup is going to be great.

Nice win for Lynchburg last night!

Swarthmore will give Roanoke all they can handle but Roanoke will finally get a W over a CC team. 12-11

Gettysburg going to Lexington after a week of spring break will be tough, Bullets defense holds strong, Gettysburg 14-11...game will be very physical.

Where is Hillis Burns today for the Generals. Gburg leads 6-4. Gburg leads 8-4 at the half. About Even on shots, gbs , face offs, and everything but goals. Generals could have really used their best player today but they are still in this.

Tuned into this HSC v. Catholic game... lots of technical difficulties with their facilities and video feed. How much tuition does an ODAD have to pay to get scoreboard/shot clock from this century?

The starting goalie hasn’t been at 50% yet this year. Gennies played well overall, most categories were even except the big one. Good effort, wished Hillis Burns was there hoping it’s nothing serious probably top 3 player on the team , Hubbard , Allen being the other 2

Good to be in Lex today. Burns out with broken femur, what terrible luck for the Generals. Bullets are very good and showed today.

I know from my time there in the sports info office (left H-SC and the Sports Info world in January 2019) that getting people to work games there was growing exceedingly difficult and became a migraine - not a headache, but a migraine! - that I got plenty sick of dealing with, so I'm not even going to go into all those issues that stem from that...

So I'm more annoyed that the zoom is so far out that it's basically watching ants. We don't need to see 3/4 of the f*****g field at all times, this is a completely useless stream.

^ thanks for the insight. D3 lacrosse feeds don't need to be at the ESPN level, but for $49,504 a year, you would think they could get a scoreboard / shot clock working.. just a thought.

So sorry for the young man and his team! What a loss, changes my assessment of what they might be. The O with him out there and the other players. Now the # 1 D man goes elsewhere, they lose the leverage he brought to the field. Brutal

I'll just say that all the scoreboards on campus need to be replaced with technology that is current to this century. All are pretty old and run on antiquated tech. The school has always prioritized other things higher, and to be fair to the school, scoreboards are quite expensive

Back before I left they had talked about replacing it with one with a video board. And the only reason that chatter happened is because Macon got a flashy scoreboard with a big video panel and the alumni started getting jealous of it lol. Other than that, there really wasn't much chatter about replacing scoreboards because

1) the scoreboards for all sports work 95+% of the time with little to no issue and even brand new ones are going to have problems from time to time. It will be better but it won't fix everything, especially if the problem is caused by an external source, which has been the primary reason in the past when there have been problems with the scoreboard at the grass field, though I can't vouch for what happened today of course. Even a brand new scoreboard being used for the first time is going to have problems when external factors cause the problem. Like one time there was a blown electrical transformer that messed up something with the scoreboard, not much anyone can do about that. Sometimes shi* happens.

And 2) the fundraising groups always wanted to spend the money on other things that more directly benefitted the student-athletes.

And I can't blame the fundraising groups for doing that. Like if you can dump money into fully funding a really nice overnight trip (like when basketball went to Puerto Rico or Soccer did a summer international trip), you're going to do that instead of buying a new scoreboard. When those SAs remember their time as an SA, I can't imagine the story of the school getting a new scoreboard is one they'll ever tell.
