Farfromgeneva wrote: Tue Apr 05, 2022 10:19 pm Consecutive losses are ugly but losing to two top 5-6 teams (at this point Yale is hot these days) shouldn’t be that punitive. Not the strongest schedule and they could easily go from 8-1 to 8-6 before PL conf play but 8-3 with wide margin going away wins over UMass (16-7), Bucknell (12-7 and not that close) and the recent blowout of Navy is probably still good enough to be in the 18-20 range. Qualitatively, they hve a fairly elite attack. I think their top 20 caliber this season. Final stretch is @ PTon, @ Loyola, @ Lehigh and vs Army. I think they split those four and end reg season at 10-4. We will aee
Perfetto is an excellent attackman. Back half of the schedule is brutal. I agree.

All three are excellent. Don’t know enough about the rest of their personnel but appears they don’t have other key prices like in the past such as Bannister.

Not again with this 7pm start time on Sunday. They are doing this purposely to torture Joewillie78, who loves to post his top 25 as early as possible. Please D1 teams, no games past 2pm on Sundays. I get twitchy to post my top 25 and sometimes don't wait until the final game is in the books, and I know one of these times, I'm going to get burned and have a team make an incredible comeback when I already slotted that team for a loss. This madness has to stop.

Notre Dame above Yale is ridiculous. Harvard has beaten no one.

Harvard will probably lose out. Certainly will not be favored in the last three.

The enigma that is the Quakers.
They’re nothing like the team I saw in pre-season.

No axe but I’ll bet you a Philly Cheesesteak on Penn winning! But think it will be a battle.

And Hopkins does not belong on this list. Top 25? Why? A February 5 win vs Jacksonville? Put a different jersey on that team and they may not be top 40 at this point.

Penn has depth issues. Their starting unit (including defensive midfield) is great. Then there's more variance below that.

They should be the same! These are both sites of laxpower founder Dr. Larry Feldman. But the actual power rating numbers are slightly different. Glitch in the data? Glitch in the code? (Perhaps differing limits on max goal differential? I seem to recall Larry fiddling with this at one point ...)

I like that one. After JHU beat SU (and before JHU's 'bad losses'), I went looking and SU was still well ahead, and I wondered if SU's early blowout victory was not subject to the old 10-goal limit.
