Does PJ still have eligibility? Played 2020-2024 in Radnor.

Was listed as a Junior I think. These days, I make no assumptions about eligibility. Seems like you just get to play until your parent(s) run out of money.

The ssdm is Connor Stewart from Elizabethtown. 2024 Honorable Mention All-American. Has York lacrosse in his Instagram bio. Solid pickup for Coach Childs.

if the rumors are true from here …..

York could be picking up 2 D1 transfers on offense
two defensive All Americans
and an offensive attack that averaged 75pts per season his first two years.

York will have a young team. the offensive leader and defensive leader will both be juniors with about 40 games experience each. the presumptive starting goalie will also be a junior.
2025 should be a strong year for York. i would imagine the schedule will not be as tough as 2024. i can’t imagine 7 top 10 teams will have York on the schedule.

2 D1 offensive players? I have heard about only 1 ( from Towson) where is the other one from. That would put them at 7 possibly 8 transfers it certainly sounds like an effort to reload both sides of the ball. I also think. You over estimate the security of the goalie position.

The roster at York seems like it is shaping nicely. Who will be the top goalie? Is that an issue?

2 reasons why I think that the goalie situation is in flux 1- last two years the goalie at the beginning of the season was replaced. 2- 45% save percentage in Conference play just won’t cut it.

I feel like York lacrosse could overcome a 45% goalie in conference. I just feel like they always seem to have more firepower than other MAC-c teams

NFW. You can't get away with 45% anywhere and expect to contend IMO. Goalie play is so contagious. A good to great goalie improves all aspects of your approach and outputs. On the back end, when you know you can give up certain outside spots, you give your defense freedom to hunt. You reduce the pressure on the face-off line, again, they play looser. Attack wise, those dudes will sit there on the other side KNOWING they'll get the ball back. They can seek and destroy, take chances. It's a team game, 100%. But a good to great goalie can change a team.

i went back and read the comments and i must have miss-read something. i am not seeing (2) D1 transfers in the comments. disregard that part.

as for the goalie (and fogo could be the same). york will go with ever is hot. i don’t think any positions are locked in. i really only think there are 2, maybe 3 returning players that are locked in to start. from the rumors, i would guess that at least one of the transfers will start, so maybe 4 slots are solid. that leaves a lot of positions that are open for competition

Excited for the 2025 season. Ready to see the jump the rising juniors make this season. Childs needs to give Fisher the keys to this offense in order for them to be successful. Hoping for a big bounce back year and for the Spartans to surprise some people in 2025.

Kind of feel like York needs to be more balanced with there scoring this year and they need to play in transition and play faster. For the last two years the ball died in there stick some and they will have some solid options even if it will be tough to replace Harnick.

York after a 10-8 season w year ending loss to Eastern who was 8-11. One of the stranger years for a strong program. Childs hasn’t forgotten how to coach. I do wonder if the culture has been hampered by 5th years and transfers. I always sensed they recruited well and developed players. Hearing the possibility of additional transfers coming this year. You have to wonder how younger players are accepting of that fact. Hoping W&L gets the opportunity to play York again this coming season, always a good contest. I’m sure after Yorks win last year they’d never have imagined losing 8 and not making the tournament.
