It certainly seems like this GPC was an intentional play. To sever the ties in ME, stop the draining of resources, allow the vacuum of our leaving create whatever it may, and focus on a new venture....now called the GPC. A place to invest time and money and we get the China and Russia to participate. Maybe it is a concerted effort to put the squeeze on the ME....who knows. IMO, it certainly feels like the GPC was an intentionally planned conflict.

As an aside, this had to have been in the works for quite some time, which is why Trump set it in motion. And at that time, it was viewed as either idiocy, or long over due; starting a new cold war. It may also tie into why Trump was pushing "Make American Again" and trying to emphasize more manufacturing in the US. Coincidentally, or is it..... BIdens spin off is "Build Back Better"...much the same idea as Trump.

I suppose in the end, this GPC, is a calculated fight, but what is the prize, how do you determine the winner? Will be interesting to hear how it goes with Xi today.

... because the military needs enemies and to make sure everyone on the home front knows we are recognizing them. Its also impossible to keep secret - no cost to telling the world. Now if we didn't do this, you would have the anti-Biden crowd, right wing media etc. making it worse than Obama's brown suit or not properly saluting while holding a cup of coffee.

All parties are using UAVs (“drones”). Question is, who has the most effective and efficient counter-measures, i.e. NOT F-22s and sidewinder air-to-air missiles.

It's simple: find an alternative fo these metals. We always do. We just have to try and not, as we have for 50+ years now, simply use our military to solve every made up "problem".

Well what they really mean when they say that is: "We have to have this stuff from THIS PARTICULAR COUNTRY where we can EXPLOIT the environment and cheap child labor to maximize profits while avoiding NIMBY-ism in the states where we have tons of this stuff."
