Several CAAers drafted in this year’s NLL draft.
Zach Goodrich goes in the 1st round, not sure Goodrich’s plans were to play pro box.
Marshall King, Zach Mann go second round, Dylan Kinnear also drafted.

Namely, who are the 100 top incoming freshmen.
IL totally missed last year, where Tye Kurtz was a top 10 freshman.
So they hedged this year, Michael Robinson, Justin Sykes both made the list.
But IL missed on many other good incoming freshmen, including, Ben Stewart, Reed Kurtz, John Wright, Evan Long, Jordan Hayes, Ben Rivera, Justin Carte.
And of course Taite Cattoni is joining the Dutch this year.
Early of course.
But a flub per usual on ILs early Senior’s top 100.

One CAA top 100.
But there are any number of other 4 star or equivalent CAA recruits coming next year.

Luke Blanc UMass #73 - Class of 2020 - Attack

Ronnie Gunter Jr. Drexel Class of 2020 - Midfield

Props to IL for their new and improved

But still, obvious, a work in progress.

One CAA incoming freshman considered a top 50 freshman midfielder from IL.
Joke !

Michael Robinson, of course with a nice few years at Culver and a good summer of Canadian lacrosse.

I like also Justin Carte, a hybrid, played up top mostly for a class D NY public, but showed enough in club ball, real stick skills, could be an up top feeder to replace Marshal King. At least from what I’ve seen, a top 50 incoming freshman middie.

Michael Tobin, another hybrid, real good on the feed, another Jeff Trainor (?), another Reading Mass player, he’s a top freshman midfielder.

Brandon Hund, Tigers, 6’3”, high scorer out of the midfield, yet another top player out of Jersey, played with Canyon Birch on Leading Edge club.

The IL Ranking are just a list of the ACC, Ivy and Big 10 recruits, with a few Big East, Patriot and CAA players sprinkled in. I just did a quick count and 38 of the 50 are from the three top three. In their defense it is pretty tough to do rankings and those three conferences have dominated the sport. It is just something to fill their pages and hopefully sell some subscriptions.

Drexel 2020 roster with freshmen is up.

https://drexeldragons.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7761

The most interesting pick up is Kyle Worsely, transfer from Onondago, part of the last two JUCO titles, leading scorer in last year’s title game, should add to an already solid offense.

While I don't generally agree with the top Freshman rankings, I thought I'd share Inside Lacrosse's take on each CAA team:

Delaware
Top 50 Defenseman #33 Tate Wasson, Palmyra, PA
Top 20 FOGO #16 Roland Hockenberry, Middletown, MD
Top 50 Midfielder #16 Michael Robinson, Culver Academy, Peterborough, ONT
Top 50 Attackman #35 Reed Kurtz, McDonald Secondary, Punslinch, ONT

Towson
Top 20 Goalie #19 Evan Long, McDonogh

UMass
Top 20 FOGO #15 Brendan WIlliams, Yorktown, NY

Hofstra
Top 50 Attack #20 Justin Sykes

Fairfield
Top 50 Attack #28 Bryce Ford, John Jay, NY

My favorite “rip IL” moment is Zach Goodrich.
Nada from IL.
No top 100, no top midfielder listing.
Here was the Kent Island title game,
Goodrich won 15 of 23 draws through the first three quarters, and added five goals and three assists to finish with eight points, one-point shy of tying the record for most points in a 3A/2A title game.
Two 1st team All Americans, Midfielder of the year, Final Four, 1st round NLL pick.

That was a great overall year, though, Goodrich, Spencer, Woodall, Conrad, Grant Ament.

Tate Wasson is absolutely nasty, he's a top three 2019 pole in my opinion. He will make a big difference for UDel over the next four years.
Brendan Williams is an interesting kid. I saw him play at a Brine event in Virginia around freshman year. Transformed from an athletic and really good pole/middie, to one of the best FOGOs in the 2019 class. UMass has another kid in the 2019 class - Zack Hochman - from Connecticut who was an extremely effective FOGO and middie, will probably give all of the FOGOs a run for their money eventually.

I feel DeLuca has been aggressive in recruiting.
I like it.
DeLuca has already gotten a couple 2021s.
Anything that increases the level of competition, I applaud.

Finally, another roster is posted, UMass.

https://umassathletics.com/roster.aspx? ... sort=class

Don’t know much about the freshmen, Zach Kearney from Hill, Tobin’s brother enrolls, and looks like a couple upper class transfers.

Fairfield, following Delaware, gets a 2021 commit.
Another DI goalie from Manheim Township PA, following the leads of Alex Ready (Denver) and Caton Johnson (UNC).

Realize they’re in AE, but checking the transfers I see another Stony Brook kid. Is stony brook going to be able to field a team with all they’ve had transfer out?
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Finally, also, Hofstra’s 2020 roster is up.
Which makes sense since Hofstra has a couple fall ball scrimmages tomorrow.

https://gohofstra.com/roster.aspx?path= ... sort=class

3 large Canadians freshmen, including Justin Sykes.

Not seeing Taite Cattoni, so not sure if there was a change of heart there.

Hard to believe this guy was overlooked.

Maybe Cattoni decided on a Canadian school instead, they provide good prep for the pro box game.

Kinnear with notes on the weekend scrimmages.
Dutch beat Navy, lost to Lehigh.
