Cavs are in big trouble, Hawks will be going to UVA.
I just don't see UVA as being anywhere near that physical.

This one will be interesting. I can both see it and can’t see it herring at the same time. Can’t explain it but envision both as plausible and then “nah that won’t happen”. But I do think experiences in the playoffs matters and if it’s close we will see. They needed a long time to get over the jump
In the NEC winning an umber of reg season titles to get beat by Bart or Bryant every year until the last of the NEC. Hope this is different for Wray.

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
I would love to know the story about LaCalandra. Graduated from Comsowogue in 2019. Played at LIU for three years (20, 21 and 22). Initially transfered to St. Joes for '23. Switched that decision and was on the Ohio State roster for '23 after playing fall ball with the Buckeyes. Then transfers back to St. Joe's for '24 where he is deemed ineligible to play after the fall season. And now is scheduled to play for St. Joes in '25. And someone tells me he still has two years of eligibility left? Did I get that right? SMH.oldbartman wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 11:15 pmLaCalandra will be back for the'25 season. Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Not exactly the course we used to take through a career! I guess you could say 2020 doesn’t count due to COVID and he only played 4 games in 2023 for OSU so could have taken that as a redshirt which would mean he has only played 2 seasons and has 2 left. Even excluding 2020 though, the old 4 seasons in 5 years rule would mean that despite those 2 theoretical years left 2025 would be his last year but who the hell knows these days. I think everyone is sick of 24 and 25 year olds being on college rosters and I’m not sure how much of an asset to a locker room a player is who wanders school to school, regardless of talent.

LaCalandra got a redshirt for '21 & '22?? He played against my Statesmen both years. In '22 the game was played in mid April. Did he only play in 3 or 4 games those seasons? I don't think so as he he was the NEC OPY both years if recall correctly.GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 11:16 am2020- Covid year (LIU)Henpecked wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 8:23 amI would love to know the story about LaCalandra. 2020 was his LEGIT freshman year, but covid... So, in 2021 he was a redshirt freshman. 2022 he was a redshirt sophomore. 2023/2024 was technically a "redshirt junior." Next year he'll be a 6th year / redshirt senior.oldbartman wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 12:43 pmLaCalandra got a redshirt for '21 & '22?? He played against my Statesmen both years. Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Well then,
that'll definitely alleviate some of Wray's player turnover issues,
Hawks also have two mammoth offensive players coming in the fall.

So with all of that he will have 3 years of full seasons and 1 year of 4 games?

Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Yes. You cannot transfer from a 4 year school to another 4 year and then to another 4 year *UNLESS YOU COMPLETE A DEGREE*
Ex/ JT Roselle played 4 years at Marist (got degree), 1 year at UNC (got degree) and 2024 at Hofstra (got degree). 3 schools.
LaCalandra didn't finish his undergrad yet, and is on his 3rd school. That's the difference. Also, if you play less than 30% of a team's schedule you can redshirt that year. 2023 he played 25% of games at OSU and then withdrew. Due to the 4 year rule he had to sit out this year. If he was eligible this year, he technically would've been a Redshirt Jr. (even though thats what he was listed as at OSU)
Re: Atlantic 10 2024
Got it. Based on that though he could have played the full year in 2023 and still would only have one more year of eligibility. Because of the second transfer it didn't matter whether he played 4 games or the full season.GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 3:27 pmYes. They loaded up for the last two years. You hope to bank and build on the wins, this is the next phase for them to see. But Tygh was a plug for Cole who was helpful meaning Wray didn't have solution for the likely 10-15% drop off in FO wins. By year end Tygh was a close enough substitute for Cole. But they've got goalie set for a while.10stone5 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 10:59 pm Hawks, some serious turnover next year, Wray has got his work cut out for him,

Richmond Football yesterday announced its move to the Patriot League for Football. I wonder if a move to all Patriot League sports is in its future? Doubtful, but something to consider I guess.

I wouldn’t bet on a big dropoff. A lot back on defense including the DPOY in A-10. Offense will retool.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 4:03 pmThey loaded up for the last two years.
