The two resumes aren’t equal. RPI clearly has the better wins and more difficult schedule. They get the nod this week after a strong win vs another top ten team while Salisbury can’t separate from a 3-10 Washington squad. Ultimately meaningless until May. If RPI loses to Amherst on Wednesday, back down they go.

i have watched most of salisbury’s games this year. saw a few in person. i have seen several RPI and RIT games. have also seen both of them in person. also have watched a few WC games. 10 out of 10 times, all three would beat WC. Tight games are 5 of the RPI wins by one or two goals. I doubt very much that anyone watching the SU game was really thinking the Gulls would lose. It never had that feel.kirbysmart14 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 12:56 pmThe game was tight in the 4th quarter. Giving them a scare might be the wrong way to put it. I’m sure the gulls felt like they were going to win the entire time. From the WAC side, being down 3 in the 4th is the closest anybody has been to beating SU all season long. SU is a much better team, this game just had a little bit of the War on the Shore feeling that has been missing the last few years. WAC still has a ton of work to do.Laxattackjack wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 3:05 pmi talked to several of the SU parents. only game that had them and players a little concerned was the beginning of the york game when they went down 0-4 in the first quarter. but never panicked. they were never concerned with WC.kirbysmart14 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 1:24 pmWC might be less talented but it's fair to say that they have given Salisbury the biggest scare this year. If you think those teams that you listed are equivalent, I don’t know what to say to you. Williams beat CNU soundly.D3LaxFan2 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 11:20 am Salisbury has wins over CNU, Lynchburg, Gettysburg, York, Stevenson.

I would say their resumes are fairly even. Both have one really good win (RIT/CNU), and a whole bunch of wins against 15-30 caliber teams.
I think there is a conversation to be had about number 1. I’m not going to fault anyone for sticking by Salisbury, but let’s not pretend there can’t be a debate.

i would agree. this game was more about confidence for WC. not really concern for SU. just look at the WC thread. they are talking about cleaning house, firing the coach and staying fresh.westernbestern wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 3:24 pmGiving them a scare might be the wrong way to put it. Swat has wins over Dickinson & Gettysburg + wins over Muhlenberg (who just beat Gburg) & Stockton. definitely good enough for Top 10 ranking - but may have them in the 7-9 range rather than at 6LacrosseGuy804 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:24 pm Need to question your rankings of Swarthmore, Steven’s and Babson just on strength of schedule or lack there of.

Swarthmore and RPI are in the same boat. I don't think they are the #6 and #2 teams in the country but based on their record they deserve to be there
Re: 2024 FanLax Forum Poll
If you're going to go that route, then I guess one should say that Salisbury shouldn't be the #! either?
Re: 2024 FanLax Forum Poll
You guys complaining about strength of schedule for Babson, Swarthmore and Stevens need to rethink things cause you are just wrong.

they are undefeated
have the most top 20 wins
a lot is going to change over the next 2-3 weeks.
