Here's the CDC definition of vaccine, right now, on their website:

Vaccine: A preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but some can be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.

This is basically the same freaking definition that Merriam uses for their primary definition. The CDC adds that "some can be administered by mouth...."

Personally, have had all the normal childhood shots that most 60 plus year olds had gotten thru the decades.

Got some shots for overseas trips, too. My offspring, also, got all usual vaccines, just not HPV (doesn't work).
