Denver only a +3 against Hopkins?
Re: College Lacrosse Week 1 Best Bets
Nothing wrong with that line, I might go as high as plus 5.

Over in PSU and Colgate seems like a lock, that game is indoors I believe as well.BIG_STEPPER69 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 10:23 am Lacrosse is back! Who has some best bets for this weekend?

Utah is tempting, think they can win that outright.
Lehigh seems like it should be a bigger dog then just -4.5, hard not to like Rutty there, Lehigh lost a ton.

Navy -6 is the bet of the year

Is this confirmed? I'll take the over on any game they play in Holuba. Weather is supposed to be relatively mild this weekend for February in PA.JeremyCuse wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 12:40 pm

Not confirmed, if the weather is supposed to be decent it will probably be outdoors.CheeseBeard wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 12:57 pmIs this confirmed? I'll take the over on any game they play in Holuba. Who is facing off for Vermont this year? With the game at 'Cuse that spread looks low.

Holuba is terrible for goalie to see the ball. Fun to watch as a fan being right on the sidelines.CheeseBeard wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 12:57 pmIs this confirmed? Love Maryland -6. DraftKings is also offering win total O/U this season and while most of the lines/odds aren't great, I think Hopkins O8.5 wins at +110 is some great value so I'll be hammering that and then rooting for the Blue Jays all spring. The rest of my "week 0" picks are:BIG_STEPPER69 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 10:23 am Lacrosse is back! Who has some best bets for this weekend?

EDIT: I know I said I loved Maryland -6 but I've been convinced Richmond can hang around and keep this within 4 or 5 goals so I'm switching to Richmond +6 on this.

I like the Spiders +6
Re: College Lacrosse Week 1 Best Bets
The last time the Terps played at Richmond, they trailed by 5 early in the 4th quarter and won in double OT. The Terps giving 6 seems awfully high and based on last season's 15-4 win in College Park. Richmond returns like 96% of its scoring and defense. Yes, the Terps return a lot, too, but that line seems really high to me.
Re: College Lacrosse Week 1 Best Bets
Richmond is not a slouch. They hang!

Curious how these posts on gambling appear on a Men's D1 Lax site...
"Five years into the widespread legalization of sports betting, we’re at an inflection point. While the reason behind the bipartisan effort to legalize it is clear (hello, money), it doesn’t come without a cost: As sports betting becomes more and more accessible, the number of people who are likely to develop a gambling addiction will continue to increase. The NCPG estimated that the risk for a gambling addiction rose by 30 percent between 2018 and 2021, particularly among men ages 18 to 24. Men are more likely to have a gambling problem than women, and sports bettors are much higher-intensity gamblers overall, with live in-game betting being associated with greater levels of impulsivity."

"There is nothing more difficult and more dangerous to carry through than initiating changes. One makes enemies of those who prospered under the old order, and only lukewarm support from those who would prosper under the new."
