The real question should be this...why would any politician support Russia or Hamas??

The Israeli military said a video that falsely claimed a basic calendar was a Hamas guard list was a “translation error” after several journalists and native speakers on social media pointed out that the written Arabic words on the calendar were only identifying the days of the week.

The Israel Defense Forces released a video Monday of IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari touring the basement of a children's hospital in western Gaza, where it said it found multiple weapons and evidence hostages were held.

As part of the video, he pointed to the calendar hung on the wall.

"This is a guardian list where every terrorist writes his name, and every terrorist has his own shift guarding the people that were here," Hagari said about the calendar.
But upon closer inspection, Arabic speakers and news outlets called out the claim saying that the list was merely the days of the week.

“Not a Borat Sketch! The IDF Spokesman points to a random calendar at the Rantisi hospital as "evidence" of a "hostage keepers' list" with "terrorists' names," Muhammad Shehada, who worked for a Swiss-based human rights group, posted on X.

"But the ONLY thing on that "list" is literally the days of the week (Saturday-Friday)."

The IDF attributed the claim as an error saying “a mistake was made in the translation of part of the table," reported Israeli news channel N12.

The IDF video — including the calendar — was widely broadcast by news organizations including CNN, as well as shared by several prominent Israel supporters online including Aviva Klompas, the former director of speechwriting at the Israeli Mission to the United Nations.

When I first this item on the news I said to my self, "how nice of Hamas to telegraph the identifies and whereabouts of its supposed terrorist agents". But it turned out to have about as much credibility as Tailgunner Joe McCarthy's pathetic black list. Except for certain members of this forum, virtually the entire world is laughing at that news.

On November 11, the official Arabic account run by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted a video of a nurse, apparently agitated, talking about Hamas overrunning the al-Shifa Hospital, and taking all the fuel and morphine. She claimed that because Hamas had stolen morphine, she couldn’t use it on a five-year-old with a fracture.

The video, which was retweeted thousands of times, was a clear fake. No staff in the vicinity appear to recognise the individual featured, casting doubt on her identity and role. Robert Mackey, a journalist with the research agency Forensic Architecture, spoke to three Doctors Without Borders staff members working at the al-Shifa Hospital, none of whom recognised her.

The video was almost comic in its absurdity. The nurse spoke with a non-Palestinian accent, and her dialogue seemed to perfectly echo Israeli military talking points about Hamas stealing all the fuel from hospitals.

Moreover, the strategic placement of a Palestinian Health Ministry logo was a contrived attempt to mislead or create a ‘honeytrap’ for open-source intelligence. Adding to the suspicion were the stock audio-sounding bombing effects, and her immaculately clean white coat and perfect makeup, all of which seemed out of place in a supposedly dire setting.

The purpose of the video was clear, to blame Hamas for the suffering of children and legitimise the Israeli military’s claims that Hamas is using civilians and children as human shields.

After the Israeli military raided al-Shifa Hospital almost four days ago, Israel permitted only BBC and Fox News to film at the hospital in certain locations of Israel's choice. The results indicate that, according to Israel's footage and that of BBC, evidence ‘doesn't precisely match.’ BBC analysis indicated that Israel has ‘either not found supporting evidence or it’s not sharing it.’

They also claimed hostages were held in the hospital but when they couldn't find any, they said Hamas removed them before the IDF arrived. If Hamas supposedly removed hostages before the raid then why would they leave their weapons behind?

Yeah, so nice and convenient of Hamas to leave those neatly stockpiled weapons behind when they abandoned the hospital. How thoughtful can anyone be to leave weapons that the Israeli government could say their presence confirms that foreigners arm them. So considerate of them to take helpless hostages with them when they are of no value and to leave weapons that would have served them far more valuable purposes. So thoughtful and considerate as to name their agents on their calendars, too.
