I'll take the first stab at it.
Not that Hopkins ever needs more publicity but I will go with Brian Wood. His accomplishments are noted, including HoF induction, but he never seems to be on anyone's list of greatest attackers of all time. I would put him in that echelon personally.
Who do you have?

Re: Most Underrated Player All Time - not from the School You Support
Zach Currier, who was never first team AA yet was among the best midfielders in recent memory.

One of the biggest snubs, for sure. But, if you watch any waterdog game you'll hear the announcers saying he's the best or one of the best middies in the world. So, at least he's getting his flowers now, but at Princeton... criminally underrated.
Currier's Sr. Year he had 24G & 34A - 58P (3rd on team in points), 130GB (led team), 21CT (led team), 114/202 FO (56%)
That is INSANE.

Those are incredible stats. 130 GB's- eye popping.
He's a stat sheet stuffer no doubt. I was a little surprised he wasn't more effective in the World Games, specifically the Championship game. Credit USA short sticks. Those guys were incredible.

Matt Abbott: Syracuse.
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
Re: Most Underrated Player All Time - not from the School You Support
I was going to jokingly post Abbott. There have been so many posts here and on laxpower how he was underrated that I don't think you can say he's underrated anymore.
Currier took faceoffs and played attack for Princeton his senior year when he had those numbers.

I believe he was an attackMAN...!1766 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 1:21 pm I'll take the first stab at it.

I will always believe that Ryan Conrad willed UVA to that 2019 title. Yes, he made Team USA and was an All-American, but I never feel like he gets a lot of hype. Matt Ward was also another UVA great that I seldom hear getting a lot of "all time great" chatter.
I also agree about Currier. If his Princeton teams were better, he'd have garnered way more attention.
One more I'll mention. Connor Cannizarro was a phenom. You could argue that Denver's decline coincided with his graduation and not Trevor Baptiste's graduation. Connor put Denver over the top.

I do not think he was underrated at least not on Long Island - I think he was considered one of the best players from LI at the time and widely considered the greatest player in CWPost/LIUPost/LIY history.

Currier played “some” attack that year. He was primarily a midfielder.ohmilax34 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 4:11 pmI was going to jokingly post Abbott. There have been so many posts here and on laxpower how he was underrated that I don't think you can say he's underrated anymore.

Since he has been practically disowned by the Hopkins community, I think this post is appropriate:
Quint Elroy Kessenich
4x AA
2x Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Award
2x First-Team AA
1987 national championship
1989 finals
0.629 career save percentage
573 career saves (at the time of his graduation, the most in Hopkins history)
Quint K is one of the greatest goalies of all time, yet he is long overdue for the Hall of Fame and seems to get more disparagement than praise from the Hopkins community.

Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah
