Predictions?
For me, the usual. Penn needs to improve on fundamentals: gbs, retaining possession (stop the bad passes, provide outlets passes on double teams), off-ball movement on offense, and better shot selection.
Playtime is over. Win or season over.

Princeton plays as well as they did last week, and they should win.

Princeton’s goalie is on fire.

Didn’t think I’d watch a third of a collegiate lacrosse game go by without a goal. And yet it is a pretty compelling game.

they are playing in Columbia because they don't have a team
Ivy League Logic.
Okay... central location, neutral, potentially bigger crowd, lots of Ivy League grads in NYC.
Should be in Ivy League regular season champion location.

Take the number of players on each team and multiply by 2.

A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Why is this so difficult for officials to understand?
The ENTIRE ball has to cross the ENTIRE goal line in order to be a goal. IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for an ENTIRE BALL to cross the ENTIRE GOAL LINE, hit the pipe, and bounce out.
WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND? If the ball bounces off the cross bar or either pipe it is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for it to have been a goal.

Ever referee a lax game? Or any game? Not easy to do, but pretty easy to criticize.LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 8:53 am Why is this so difficult for officials to understand?

Oh please...not a person here who doesn't recognize that officiating is a difficult task.PizzaSnake wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 9:06 amEver referee a lax game? Or any game? Not a person here who can't see when a ball bounces off a pipe and doesn't go in either.
Didn't look like a goal in real time, didn't look like a goal in slo mo replay either. Was a
horrible call that warrants criticism whether one has ever officiated or not.

I have. And you are right. The subjective calls like unnecessary roughness, slashing (get stick!) can be difficult at speed. But this isn’t a subjective call. Either the ball is in the goal or not. It should actually be the easiest call they make all day.
