To a certain extent I think over-weighting H2H results is one of the worst biases of human polls in any sport. Team A beating Team B doesn’t necessarily mean that Team A should be ranked higher overall. It’s one data point in a season full of them.

(In short, H2H wins matter…just like all wins matter)

Yeah, even as a self-identified Swat homer, I really don't have any issue with keeping Gettysburg ahead of them by a few spots. It was an OT game, not a blow-out, and the Bullets have some of the best wins on their resume of any team in the country (Salisbury, York, W&L).

I agree with what you all are saying BUT if 2 teams are ranked consecutively and most data are equal, the fact that one team beat the other should matter. H2H should matter when the programs are really close with all other data.

So gburg/swat, Wesleyan/stevens and Cabrini/Dickinson could be swapped

Looks like Woo will become irrelevant again if this result holds.

Inappropriate and irrelevant. This proves that OWU is back in a big fashion, beating the number 2 team in the country. Great win for a very young Bishop team, excited for their future :D

bigdawg (all lower case on purpose).Get a freakin’ life and get back into your parent’s basement. The “juggernaut”, aka College of Wooster just laid an egg 2 nite, losing to Ohio Wesleyan 11-7. I hope this finally puts to rest your incessant “trolling” relevant to Woo’s place among relevant D3 lax programs. I’m all for programs growing their brand and becoming competitive, but your nonsense that Wooster should be mentioned in the same breath as RIT, Tufts, Salisbury, CNU, St. Lawrence and Amherst is simply an insult to all on this site that actually follow the sport and are honest about the strengths and weaknesses of their favored programs.

^ Everyone knows he's trolling. No need to take him seriously. I just enjoy the fact that there are folks who care enough about DIII lacrosse to troll ... and to get riled by trolls.

Again…don’t feed the trolls. Morons will be morons, but if everyone just ignores them there’s not much they can do.

Why so angry Tigerlax? I can't support a team and give my opinion on a Division 3 lacrosse forum? I would argue you should get a life if my support for Wooster has caused you this much angst. At the end of the day all these teams are Division 3 lacrosse teams, so all can be mentioned in the same breath. You truly are an insult to the lacrosse community as we are all in this together. Peace and Love Kemosahbee.

UnknownParticipant I removed a double ranking you had of Williams (15th and 19th). I assumed you meant 15th - and I left 19th blank instead of promoting 20th-23rd.

Top 8 rankings seem to have really stabilized - with most of the interesting deviation kicking off with Bowdoin, Dickinson, and W&L who generated a pretty large spread.

Is Lynchburg going to have a shot at an at-large if they don't take the AQ? Their resume is all over the place.

I meant to put Wesleyan at 19.

TBH, no. Or, any of the overratted ODAC for that matter. But, I forgot to rank them 16.

Speaking of the ODAC. How is any poll still ranking a 5 loss Lynchburg in the top 15? that just lost to an unranked RMC

USILA has W&L in the top 10????

And HSC (first place in the ODAC and the best overall record), isn’t even in the USILA ranking

Kinda makes their ranking skewed.
