I was on social probation 2.5/4yrs in college for having keggers and related and didn’t miss a game of football.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

sans a public arrest, i doubt there'll be any announcement with details. if the punishment fits the transgression, hopefully nobody was unduly hurt.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:26 amSo 7 games because they had a garden variety party that they normally have? I find it hard to believe that kids that had a basic party are penalized with a 7 game suspension, reduced to 6…..but anything is possible.wgdsr wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:54 amsans a public arrest, i doubt there'll be any announcement with details. if the punishment fits the transgression, hopefully nobody was unduly hurt.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:26 amSo 7 games because they had a garden variety party that they normally have? "Disruption of Community
Actions that are unreasonably disruptive to the University community and/or its neighborhoods. “Unreasonably disruptive” will be determined by a number of factors including those that inform local noise ordinances (time of day, decibels, duration) and established quiet hours and the magnitude of response necessary to address the disruption. Examples of this conduct include, but are not limited to, off-campus disturbances in residential and commercial areas surrounding campus and off-campus programs."
Not even Greg Marmalard and the Omegas could live up to this standard. Pro tip: If you don't like noise, don't buy a house next to the airport.

Yes and Yes. I was just looking for context. Did the coach impose this suspension at Brown or was it the University? My son had teammates that missed two games because they had a washable paint party…..turned out paint wasn’t washable. Defacing school property. Re: Brown 2023
sure. the *appeal* part has me assuming, as long as we're speculating, that it wasn't the coach. prefer that it was. but could be talking about the athletic department, also.
p.s. the guys that bought the paint should've gotten the suspension.

Not that surprising actually. Providence police show up at an off-campus party and you're hearing from the Dean's office. On campus, you're pretty safe.

Tempest in a teapot? Maybe so. More tea and less booze would yield less noise and maybe more fun, but that’s coming from an INTJ.
