Also, Good shot selection early to not let Ursinus goalie get hot.DeepPocket wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 10:02 am Rain will stop in SE PA around 3pm, making for a cloudy 40 degree 7pm game time.

Will Harnick shooting efficiently with 5g after the start of the 3rd. SSDM Shields is great all over the field.

19-6 York leads the Bears early 4th qtr. Dominant performance back on track. No hangover from the game in Lex, too good of a team and coach. Generals also with an impressive performance today against Catholic. I think W&L is for real. Like to see York win out until their next contest w the Gennies.

Yes. Subbing started in the 3rd. Glad to see the depth getting experience. Easily a 30-5 margin without it, but thankfully that is not York’s style.
Saw W&L again play a great game today too. Catholic scored off the opening draw and then quickly jumped to a 2-0 lead, but the generals showed poise and the rest of the game was as they dictated it. Yes. Would love to see these programs meet again. Best of luck down the ODAC road.Dehuntshigwa’es wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 8:39 pm 19-6 York leads the Bears early 4th qtr. Re: York 2023
Impressive win for York last night. The entire team played well. Seemed like the coach was trying to make a statement with the first line mid playing all but one or two runs in the first with a big lead.
4 won’t be catching any teams by surprise this year. But 28 is filling the file of leading scorer
EMO looked good.
Man down I think only gave up one goal, and I think they were down 2 men at the time
York dominated at X. As I predicted, winning 2/3
Seeing how dominant W&L was last night, beating Catholic by almost 20. Makes the York 1 goal loss last week not look so bad. W&L is much better than the preseason ranking.

Re: York 2023
Now that's the Spartan team I was hoping to see. They came out fast, sharp, and with what looked like a chip on their shoulder. Ursinus came in cocky, and York made them pay for that.
Offensively, they worked the ball around nicely, had some impressive shots, and eliminated most of the mental mistakes from W&L 2nd half. Defensively, they locked down the crease and prevented Ursinus's inside feeds. Great game planning and execution there.
Goaltending and clears looked strong, and both EMO and Man down looked good. Also nice to see some of the young guns getting in late in the 2nd half.
Now the long wait before the next game at RIT.

Re: York 2023
York thread a little quiet. Big game this week. Traveling up to bitter cold Rochester (current forecast is calling for snow and high 20’s).
Will York practice with orange balls this week?
Will York be prepared for frozen mesh pockets
Will York splurge for overcoats for the bench players?
After a dominant performance last week, will York come out strong and position themselves back in the championship talk?
Keys to victory. Practice on clears and rides all week. Need to slow down RIT and make this a 6v6 game. Best chance to win the game.

RIT looked beatable vs Muhlenberg. No doubt Coach Coon has been working out those kinks as well.
Not really too much to chat on unless someone is at practice.
For banter’s sake-
Eric Burbank, starting at attack for York, will spend the day next to his brother Kyle who is now starting in goal for RIT. Wonder how many times that game has played out in their back yard over the years…
Also of note, Noah Bruno, having spent 5 seasons in Spartan green (last year as captain), is now united with his 2 brothers as a Tiger. He saw action vs Bates, will his familiarity come into play?

Huge week for the Spartans in practice to prepare for Bruno and his tigers. I wonder how Child’s will pounce on the competition. Chat board saying they might use orange balls at practice, not a chance. Coats for the bench? No way. Rumor has it they have been struggling with funding.
Will be looking forward to watch this game on Saturday as both teams look good. RIT gets to play in between the week though. Their Bates game looked about right. York messed up Ursinus and was a good comeback for their first dispute.
As they hit their third game of the season, I wonder if they still will make some changes. More subs, different ride or clear, goalie changes? 24 looks great.

Why do you say not a chance for using orange balls this week? They are calling for snow. Which means they will use orange balls in the game. Would make sense to get used to them.TopCheddar wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 1:12 pm Huge week for the Spartans in practice to prepare for Bruno and his tigers. Where are you hearing budget issues? They seem on par with most D3 programs.

Perhaps injured against Muhlenberg? Hard to believe an AA of his caliber would get lost in the shuffle at RIT.DeepPocket wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 2:05 pmJust about halfway through the week and a half break. Bruno had to sit out the first game because of some eligibility issue within the transfer process. Going to be a great game. Coaches for York need to keep their in game composure in these big games, as their players do very well. York shouldn’t have a problem scoring enough if they shoot like they did last game. RIT’s crafty O could be of concern for a young York defense. Not Suitable wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 3:28 pmPerhaps injured against Muhlenberg? York really needs to be flying around practice this week. RIT still runs that quick , tic tac toe offense. I want to see what Child’s has cooking for Saturday
