Congrats to Ross Scott and Brian Cameron. Both reached the 100 point mark plateau. Well done!

I actually picked Army to win that game and thought it would be close. Good win. Both teams will be fine. I am glad to see Morin get back to form. Have at it….I will get my popcorn….

Don’t you want to encourage him with some prompting around transfers?Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 8:19 pmI actually picked Army to win that game and thought it would be close. Good win. Both teams will be fine. I am glad to see Morin get back to form. Have at it….I will get my popcorn….
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Re: Rutgers 2023
Congrats to Army. For those that know, this game is always a battle. One or two goal games are very common throughout this long series. I believe this was the 84th meeting. Rutgers was clearly missing their fogo. Giving Army repeated possessions is not a winning formula. I was very impressed with not only Army's game plan, but their execution. Both teams played extremely hard. Army rides as hard as any team in the country.
Time to regroup for arguably the hottest team in the country right now in Loyola. I know the team wasn't thrilled with their performance Sat. Good lessons to learn. On to the next one.
And I wouldn't be chirping in here if I was a Hopkins fan.

Big win for the Knights. In a game you'd think will have May implications, this is one R had to have. Big performances by the defense and Mullin in goal. And Knobloch came out of his slump with arguably the best game of his career.
Hats off to Loyola. Never fun to lose but that was a very well played game. The stats were incredibly even. You can see why they beat Maryland. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Re: Rutgers 2023
I agree that Loyola is legit. That said, why is Rutgers, at 3-1, not ahead of Loyola and especially OSU, who got dismantled by Virginia 17-6. OSU didn't even drop one spot in the polls and remained at number 8.1766 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:48 pm Big win for the Knights. Re: Rutgers 2023
Because Loyola beat Maryland convincingly.
Re: Rutgers 2023
Because UVA is a better loss than a loss to Army.
Re: Rutgers 2023
Quint Kessenich's rankings are highly questionable.
He dropped Rutgers out of his personal top 20 after losing a one goal away game to Army. He drops Loyola 3 spots after losing by 4 to one of his unranked teams, and still has them 5 spots ahead of the team the just lost to.
Rankings aren't easy right now outside of Uva, but that's ridiculous. No matter, it will all get sorted out at the end.

Re: Rutgers 2023
After a sluggish start, the Knights come out firing and put St. John's away. Liberal subbing midway through 3. Some of the young talent is intriguing. Kurdyla and Murphy in particular.
Re: Rutgers 2023
i think kurdyla's brother is even better. future still looking bright for RU.

Terry Foy has a different take,1766 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 8:46 pm Quint Kessenich's rankings are highly questionable.

6. Rutgers (14) The Scarlet Knights rebounded with a 10-6 win over Loyola in which Shane Knobloch posted three goals and four assists. That level of production was probably what Greyhound fans would’ve expected Rutgers to need in order to beat the Hounds given the level that starting close defensemen Cam Wyers, Matt Hughes and Alex Bean had been playing at, and even though Dante Kulas (3G) and Brian Cameron (2G, 1A) had decent days, it might not have been enough given that the Hounds limited Ross Scott to one goal. Face-off specialist Jonathan Dugenio was back in the lineup after missing the loss to Army and battled to 50%.
Re: Rutgers 2023
an impressive bounceback w for rutgers considering how loyola came out of the gates. that may go a long way down the line.
