Spring 2023 lacrosse will be the last in the MAC Freedom for Wilkes and Lycoming, who will be moving to the Landmark in the 23’-24’ year.
This will cause Lebanon Valley to shift from the Commonwealth to the Freedom to balance out at 8 member schools for each half of the conference.
Though neither of these moves has major lacrosse implications for either MAC, the presser does talk of future conference tournaments being the top 4 only, with no mention of the 4-5 play-in game we’ve been accustomed to seeing.
“Beginning in 2023-24, the conference tournament fields for baseball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and women’s volleyball will have the top-four teams competing for their respective conference titles and NCAA automatic qualifications (AQ).”

Two big grabs for Stevens from the portal. Leahy and Crowley, sure to have an impact.

Have also heard that the Ducks have picked up an LSM from OWU and a midfielder from Ursinus as grad transfers.DeepPocket wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 4:41 pm Two big grabs for Stevens from the portal. Leahy and Crowley, sure to have an impact.
Re: MAC 2023
Looks like Stevens also has at least 13 in their next class coming in as well including an Under Armor All American from North Carolina. This all has to be bad news for the other Mac Freedom teams.

Hearing that EasternU is bringing in Jack McGorry (Attack) from Catholic University as a graduate transfer. McGorry finished his career at Catholic with 44 goals and 12 Assists in 23 appearances. It will be interesting to see how McGorry could help the Eagles considering he did not play a ton for the cardinals this year and Eastern returns their two righty attack men. Eastern will face Ursinus/Marymount in scrimmages on October 9th.

The tweet says android and iOS. I have an Apple phone and found it. Sometimes tvs don’t update the apps available. I have a Samsung “smart” tv and it needs a Roku device on it because it doesn’t have Disney+ as an available app.Laxaddict1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 2:52 pmIs it available on everything? No problem. I’m really hoping it causes an overall increase in feed quality. As with most conferences, some are really well put together, while others don’t even provide audio.Leonard Washington wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 5:11 pm

Coach Peluso just posted a photo on his instagram account welcoming the class of 2026. There are 18 in the group.

Between that and what appears to be at least 3-4 transfers they are bringing in at least 22 new faces this year.

Re: MAC 2023
That’s great. Hopefully he can get them gelling quickly and Stevens will be right back up to speed. They still schedule some solid North opponents (a combination of geography and the Empire8 history perhaps?) and thus provide North-South crossover “common opponent” insight, which is much more meaningful when they’re competitive.viper wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 11:41 am Coach Peluso just posted a photo on his instagram account welcoming the class of 2026. Unique in how it’s really one conference with two halves and two AQs, a strong Stevens combined with Stevenson & York, makes the MAC a formidable conference.

Crowley, having spent two years at Hofstra, accumulated 96 goals and 36 assists for Catholic before transferring to Stevens for the coming year.LaxDad1967 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 8:48 pm I heard stevens has a “competition day” this weekend against their alumni. If I had to take a guess at a potential spread here, I would say the current team is a 3 goal underdog
Leahy posted a .529 save% for WAC in goal, while facing 572 shots last year alone before transferring in.
Lots of talent coming in.
The new blood will mean a new Stevens. Will Gebhardt be playing for the alums?
