pointless comment unless you're going to let us know who they are. everyone knows this isn't an exhaustive list

I doubt everyone knows that. Hence my contribution.

Get better sources and you will know too.

Do you need a hug or just looking for attention or both? ;)

I agree - pointless comment. This is a thread where information is shared. If you know of a transfer go ahead and let us know and it will be added to the list of names.

I'd rather they did it themselves. I'm just letting people know who might not that this list is not complete. Not really a big deal guys, simmer down.

Why is Daninger leaving? He was pretty good I thought.

He is good. Likely wants to move on in life after graduating. As we all know, division 1 lacrosse is a grind. I never fault any player who graduates and decides to move on to the next chapter in life. I'm not certain he's made that decision completely though. Either way, helluva a player and a great career On the Banks.

Not sure what the point of telling people the list isn't exhaustive is if you're not going to contribute to it

Hard to think of a single player who had a worse season in every respect than Gavin. That whole move was a big L.

Assuming whatever injury he had this year doesn't compromise him too much, Sherrer is a good player and will be a nice add for someone

Was really surprised to see Sherrer in the transfer portal. I guess he didn't want to sit behind Geppart another year maybe?

Perhaps Tillman doesn’t rate him, and has Jack Mac ahead of him on the depth chart. Prybylski took his minutes this year.

Will Schaller is the #1 LSM recruit in the country coming in next year. Also have another 5* pole in Larkin. Probably makes more sense from Maryland's perspective to have those guys get the back-up minutes behind Geppert then a 5th year returning from injury in Sherrer, even if he is a good player. Might have been a mutual parting between the two

Sherrer has 2 years of eligibility left. Bummer to see him go, but something was clearly not right this year. He can help any team out.

Seems like it could be a confluence of things. He's been injured a couple of times over the past few years, and it's probably worn on him. Might want to head to a less intense situation, heal up, and prepare for a post-college career. With Shaller coming in as the top HS LSM in the country, it just adds to the depth at that position.

This one could be a good addition for some team,
I’d guess, one of the NYC area schools,

he didn’t really pan out at Penn State,
but still, there’s talent there,

Penn State: Brody Firestein (M),
Lake Baker (FO),

Canyon Birch (A)

Is this the trend in the portal where guys are not coming off the board very fast? There is a lot of good talent on here that do not seem to have found a home yet.

I think a contributing factor is the extreme backlog in the recruiting classes: 2020s and 2021s held back to be 2022s and a big slug of 2022s held back to be 2023s. Rosters are bloated and coaches may be weighing the wisdom of loading up on players with 1-3 years of eligibility (and, right or wrong, a track record of jumping ship) instead of players who they can develop over 4 ... especially if the transfer player is not materially better than what they currently have on the roster or coming in as freshmen.
