Any known retirements or resignations? Potential openings?
It’s just about that time of year. Seasons are wrapping up. Conference tournaments about to begin.

Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
Well there's Hopkins, Princeton and Drexel. One has to wonder what's going to happen at PSU as well. And if UVA and ND don't make the tournament is there finally some pressure at those schools to make a change?LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 7:49 am Any known retirements or resignations? Navy? Timchal turns 68 this offseason.
Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
That succession plan is already in place. Don't think it will be this year though.

GW will be looking for a head coach unless they stick with interim head coach. She is very familiar with A10 so may be a good fit.

GW? What happened to Jen Ulelha?
Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
I don't think she's been on the field for several weeks.

You like the cold? St Bonaventure looking for a new head coach
Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
GW has been without a head coach since conference play started. Tough season for the team, but a nice way to end it by making the conference tournament. No interim coach named, only assistants as official coaches.

The GW athletic department has been a disaster of late. Nero was a joke. Hopefully new leadership can get them on track.
Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
Unfortunately the current leadership has been in place for 4 years and nothing has really changed/improved

No interim officially posted but Stephy Samaras Mantziaras served in that role for the final few games of the season.

Had no idea it had been that long. Seemed like it was just yesterday Nero was sexually harassing his male student athletes and throwing his basketball coach under the bus.
I hope for GW’s sake they get it together. Fantastic school. Good conference. Hotbed area. They should be better.
Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
She was brought on as a consultant and not an interim head coach. It was a tough scenario as it was almost a "too many cooks in the kitchen" scenario. I do believe she offered some sage advice to both players and the assistants in that role but it was a very tough situation for the team and the last 4 years has been quite a challenge for the current seniors - losing their coaching staff after freshman year, Covid, no fans at home games and then this. Again, making it to the conference tournament was a minor miracle and testament to the tenacity of this group of young women.championxxx wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 4:03 pmNo interim officially posted but Stephy Samaras Mantziaras served in that role for the final few games of the season.

If that is the case, I feel bad for Brooke. Never set up for success there. That program was on life support not too long ago.
