What’s the Republican message, pete?

“If things are too expensive, run to the government, and we will bring the prices down”?

You wouldn’t know what an American conservative was if one fell on you, pete.

The Republican answer should be: either don’t buy what’s “too expensive “, or get a second job.

Welcome to the free market!
IMO the American conservative use to believe that as individuals and a nation we have to live within our means. 30 trillion in debt and climbing and interest rates soon to rise there are no fiscal conservatives left in this country. There is not really any difference between a liberal democrat and a conservative republican except where they want the tax payer dollars to be spent.
Yep. You're not fooled by Pete's horsehockey.

Florida is about to get 10% bigger government in just a single year, Cradle. DeSantis is a lib.....but hands out the dogwhistle on dumb issues like masks. Voters fall for it....Government gets bigger, and DeSantis and his buds fill their pockets.

Rinse. Repeat.

I first heard this said about 20 years ago. The dysfunction and apparent incompetence in DC is no accident. Why fix something when the issue that needs fixing is a major part of your next reelection campaign? Our Upstate NY beloved congresswoman the late Louise Slaughter ran for re-election every year so she could go back to Washington and "fix" what was broken. She served for 36 years as our congressional representative and despite all of her hard work she never fixed anything. Her signature deal was providing the funds to build the new train station in down town Rochester. That 40 million dollar beauty now has her name in big bold letters in front. That is how you fix chit in DC..bring home the bacon baby..
We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents.

Here's a question, Pete: has the Florida government gotten bigger or smaller under DeSantis.

You know the answer. And you don't care.

This little gem just broke recently here in Upstate NY. I understand that the management at many colleges, specially at SUNY schools are not all that bright if not plain old tone deaf. i understand the "freedom of speech" perspective. This stupid idea should have never happened. Who gives a chit about the perspective of a convicted cop killer? This moron woman who is president of SUNY Brockport chose to double on her stupidity while failing to understand this was a really, really really industrial strength stupid idea. What can SUNY Brockport do next? They could bring in a convicted pedophile to explain his perspective why he enjoys diddling little boys. They could follow that up by bringing in a convicted rapist to explain his perspective why he enjoys assaulting women, hell the possibilities are limitless. This poor college president just opened a Pandoras Box of problems. This is well on the way to hitting the main stream media. This is the worst possible negative publicity any college would want to endure and this naive college president never saw the upcoming chitstorm she just started. The only correct response would have been HELL NO, NOT NOW, NOT EVER. The college should never have affiliated themselves with such a speaker with a heinous murderous background. I highly doubt this murdering pig will be allowed to speak on Campus. I suppose if it does happen the SUNY Brockport president will allow equal time to the murdered officers widow to share her perspective on what it meant to her.

"Diane Piagentini, the slain cop's widow says literature for the event – titled "History of Black Resistance, U.S. Political Prisoners & Genocide: A Conversation With Jalil Muntaqim" – is full of distortions and omissions. She has written to SUNY Brockport's president, Dr. Heidi Macpherson, and to the event's sponsor, assistant professor Rafael Outland, pointing out the omissions and demanding cancellation of the event.

"While my husband lay on the ground pleading with them not to kill him, pleading he had a wife and children," Mrs. Piagentini wrote in the letter to Outland, "Bottom took his (the officer's) service revolver and emptied it into his body. There were 22 bullet holes in his body…"

In the letter, Mrs. Piagentini also informed Outland that "when asked why he had killed a black officer, Bottom replied, ‘A pig is a pig' it made no difference to him. He cursed that the white officer would not die."

How does any Democrat feel proud to be associated with the accelerating speech suppression cancer of their party? This Yale story is so sad, yet so revealing.

https://nypost.com/2022/03/17/yale-law- ... ech-panel/

More than 100 woke Yale Law School students disrupted a bipartisan panel on civil liberties by trying to shout down and intimidate the speakers — who had to be escorted out of the building by police, according to reports.

The panel hosted by the Federalist Society featured Kristen Waggone, a controversial anti-LGBTQ speaker with the conservative Alliance Defending Freedom, and Monica Miller, an associate at the progressive American Humanist Association, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The discussion on March 10 was held in hopes of showing how a liberal atheist and a conservative Christian could agree on free-speech issues, a member of the Federalist Society told the news outlet.

The two speakers reportedly discussed the recent US Supreme Court case Uzuegbunam v. Preczewski, which dealt with freedom of religion and free speech on college campuses.

Truly and utterly embarrassing. This is the Democratic Party by the way, incapable of civil dialogue on even the most banal and intellectual of topics. Read the whole article…it should frighten you about 50% of our country.

If you ever wondered why the left is as annoying as it is, but effective (they wear you down with their incessant push to fundamentally corrode society), Jordan Petersen basically summed up their entire ideology and practice with this speech. He’s substituting “I” for the left and “you” for normal people:

Things get to terrible places one tiny step at a time.

If I encroach on you and I'm sophisticated about it, I'm going to encroach right to the point where you start to protest. Then I'm going to stop.

Then I'm going to wait. Then you're going to calm down, and I'm going to encroach again right to the point where you protest.

Then I'm going to stop, then I'm going to wait.

I'm just going to do this forever.

Before you know it, I'm going to be back three miles from where you started, and I'll have done this one step at a time.

Then you'll go, 'how did I get here?' and the answer was, well, I pushed you a little further than you should've gone.”

This week, Trudeau's health minister said that pandemic restrictions could go on for years.

Petersens explanation is why the right finally revolted yet some folks in the middle can’t understand why the right got angry….because the ones in the middle are always waving the white flag to the left, no conviction no spine.

The right finally snapped seeing Democrats untethered to basic social mores, renaming schools called Washington, trying to indoctrinate little kids about gender theory, mandating masks, mandating unending vaccines, closing whole Economies, ruining girls sports by saying trans athletes can compete against girls, opening the borders, releasing murderers without bail, etc… even on this website, which in theory isn’t hard left, there are folks trying to defend the teaching of gender theory and sex to kids ages 4-9. I can’t think of anything more bizarre, putting it as charitably as I can.

Petersen explains the phenomena of cultural corrosion by the left, perfectly.

Stephanie is correct.

Here are the talking points for the Democrats for the last few years and what they’re running on this Fall:

Build Back Better costs zero dollars
It’s not Hunter’s laptop
We don’t leave Americans behind
Trans men should compete in women’s sports
Riots are mostly peaceful
Border agents whipped migrants
Cloth masks prevent transmission of microscopic particles
Gas prices are Putin’s fault
Covid cannot spread in restaurant seats
Inflation is temporary
January 6 was worse than Pearl Harbor
Vaccines prevent infection

Kinda sounds like she is sick of being a legislator -- the basic job of which is cutting deals in the name of consensus, after having heard the various positions taken by elements of one's constituency and party, left, right, center, bizarro, etc. But suggesting that the Democratic Party is a captive of its extreme left wing is, respectfully, just laughable. Again, no comparison to the Nutcake Crew running the performance artists known as the GOP.
