Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Vermont is the most vaccinated state in the country. 71.5% of its residents are fully vaccinated.
But right now Vermont has FOUR TIMES more COVID cases per capita than Florida and FOUR TIMES more deaths.
I am being quite sincere in seeking answers on the above. I’d love for anyone here to explain it to me.

It's also another baldly misleading statement by our gator.youthathletics wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 11:29 amIt got cold.....people have moved more inside, you can still have covid with the vaccine.Peter Brown wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 11:19 am Vermont is the most vaccinated state in the country. 71.5% of its residents are fully vaccinated.

Florida's trailing daily case rate is over 1700 per day, Florida less than 250 per day.
Deaths are closer, with Florida's trailing 7 day avg tracking at 5 per day, Vermont 3...but Florida reports very differently so, daily deaths are skewed lower, until the data catch up. It's much more likely to, apples to apples, be about 20 per day than 5.
Per capita, yes, Vermont is currently higher.
But where would any of us rather have been for the past two years, purely from a Covid perspective?
A state with 2803 deaths per million pop, or one with 614?
That said, what the gator didn't say, but would have been correct, is that Florida's # in both categories are coming down, whereas Vermont's are going up...yes, very likely because of weather and people inside more of the time.
I'm hoping that Florida continues to trend down...headed there in a week!

BREAKING: Colorado only has 100 ICU beds available.
Man oh man oh mah oshevitz.
I remember some quality weeks of posts by the usual suspects here futily trying to slam Florida’s Governor when Florida had their surge.
But something tells me we won’t see those posters hysterically slamming Gov Polis of Colorado. Jared’s instincts are to lock down like the good Soviet he is. I’m sure tons of Coloradans are walking the streets with triple masks and rubber gloves. You just know it.
Incidentally, Florida’s Covid rates today are practically negligible and we have too many ICU beds available (hospital administrators are complaining). Without any mandates or restrictions. Imagine that!
Free state with a booming economy, no masks, and almost no Covid. Can’t wait to read the ten usuals here tell us why Desantis is the bad man.

Re: All things CoronaVirus
Let's see, where is Colorado ranked over the course of the pandemic so far in deaths per million?
Oh, not bad, 7th best in the country at 1503.
Where's Florida? 2803, 8th worst of all the states.
Golly, guess which one has done better?
Heck, Florida's deaths per million pop is worse than literally every modern, developed country in the world, large and small!
Where our gator troll is correct though, is that with the change in weather Colorado's #'s of cases, hospitalizations, etc are indeed rising. And has previously been reported, there remains some dry kindling among parts of Colorado in which COVID can still burn quite brightly. I think we can expect a peak this fall/winter in those areas of the state.
But I'd very much doubt that peak, statewide, will be anywhere near as bad in deaths per million pop as Florida reached this past summer.
Sure hope not.

Re: All things CoronaVirus
A look at the vaccination map would indicate that vax rates in CO are well below 50% in many areas outside Denver metro (especially in Eastern, Southeastern and Northwestern parts of the state) and likely may be a contributing factor to case growth and hospitalizations in those areas.
The gator troll wouldn't know this as he spends his all his time cutting and pasting lurid headlines from his usual right wing sources. Original thought is not a part of his DNA.

so short history, all i know i'm allergic to is yellow jackets, learned that about 15 years ago and 2x since. can be pretty problematic, depending on where your immune system is. and lethal, too. 2 of the 3 really bad reactions.
so got the jnj, and pulled a 150-200 sq inch rash for a few days on my front torso.
now? cdc (who i love) essentially says no jnj booster, check with your allergist for mrna's. so now that i'm qualified for a booster, i will next need to trust an allergist i do not know, that they can make a good call.

In thought about State Farm. It’s inconsistent with risk management. Who knows what they will do. I wonder what the premium would be if they knew he was unvaccinated and walking around like he were vaccinated?wgdsr wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 4:06 pmit's pervasive. what's next, state farm?Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 3:44 pm https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/325 ... artnership
