Kahoe has been building slowly and steadily since she arrived on Hawk Hill. This year she has the benefit of many 5th year players and a very good transfer goalie. St. Joe’s has lost a few close games this year ... and gradually gaining momentum. UMASS had always had their number, assuming these two meet in the final, it will be interesting to see if they can ride this way at an A 10 title.
On the other side, Richmond showed where they are this season, media polls, etc. be damned. After seeing uva dismantle the Spiders in February, I wondered what could have happened in this program? They have virtually the same line up as 2019, yet they look like a different team. Anyone? Anyone?
agree about st joe's - she's a great coach and has a veteran roster. I believe they only lost to Drexel by 1 early in the year and also beat Lehigh by a decent margin, and they are a pretty good team.
I am also really surprised how "average" Richmond has become over the past year and I believe they also have had a few highly touted recruits join in the last 2 years as well. They may not get an at large bid given this beat down and no real good wins that I see on their schedule.
UMASS has a nice team so will be watching the St. Joe's v Umass final..st joe's has to win to get to tourney and I believe umass would get an at large even with a loss.
