You're comparing the actions of rank and file Americans doing questionable and uncivil things vs. literal party leaders and officials running the government. I think that's the most telling thing in racial discourse today.

Think about it like this:

You’re a decent person. Working hard, contributing what you can to your circle, friends, family and immediate community. Generally kind to others and treat people you come across fairly. But things are still a struggle (and not my struggle, but a living month to month with household responsibilities and worrying about your job security regularly even though you score near the upper 1/5 of what we review system your organization has). You live with a proverbial Damocles sword over your head keeping your family afloat the your kids on track. You don’t like racist behavior and would generally speak up in disagreeing with something said around you immediately but not exactly donating to the black church and protesting every racial injustice. Now you’re getting pounded for every single time you aren’t proactively front of line for every micro aggression injustice. You deep down understand you have white privilege but it sure isn’t helping your life security at all and folks are telling you your a racist jerk if you didn’t speak up just once on one injustice that may be far away and removed from you life, maybe out of state or region. Now your being told your an even bigger piece of turd because you have this privilege and yet are still failing to lock in that American Dream. This may not mean someone else, particularly a minority doesn’t have an ever larger struggle, but how would you honestly expect someone to respond or react in this type of scenario? Suddenly there’s a chunk of Trump votes that aren’t about Trump but fatigue with life and being dumped on for not being the number one savior and corrector of all social ills in the country. I don’t think the right response is to vote for Trump personally but I understand and am not going to proselytize and moralize at that cohort. We’ve got to figure out how to communicate in increase empathy in this country for everyone. Until then we have a winner takes all 50/50, Hegel wet Dream Dialectic shitshow
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Agreed. Especially about the empathy. Making the effort to feel what the guy across the table is experiencing matters. A lot.

Unfortunately half the country is being told to be very, very afraid of him by a widespread global entertainment network.

He's coming to take away your guns.
He's coming to take away your church.
He's coming to take away your money.
He's coming to take away your job.
He's a radical socialist.
He's pro-killing babies.

It's the message they hear day in and day out.

Yes, it is a message, a collection of lies, that we hear every day. All of it can be readily countered and refuted. But the Democrats refuse to do so and that is why the right wing lies continue.

Killing babies? It's the right wing who ended ACA, spread tRUMPvirus, and killed off hundreds of thousands.
Jobs? Remember when right wingers condemned Obama's deal with Solyndra as a waste of tax dollars and loss of jobs? Dems could easily have countered by pointing out tRUMP's multi million dollar gift to China's ZTE and job creation there.
Money? Right wingers defend killer cops whose crimes cost millions of dollars in damages which are paid for by taxpayers. That takes away people's money. Again, the Dems remain silent about it.
Radical socialism? How about countering it by calling the tRUMP of this world "radical fascists"?
Guns? Reagan and Bush II took guns away. Nobody else did.

In each and every instance the Dems always stood silent and refused to counter with the truth. Silence is death and it is Dem party silence that is every bit the problem that is the radical far right America hating traitors.

I was on You Tube last night in a right wing channel that presented public demonstrations from various cities. A seemingly spoiled rich white kid was talking shttt first to the cops, then to people in the crowd. Suddenly he changed his tune and shouted "white power!" A bystander asked why he did it and the shouter threw a rock in the direction of the cops. People got suspicious, started to follow him, and asked if he was a white supremacist. He shouted a profanity and then walked into a group of cops and disappeared as the police did not allow them to follow him. Obviously the punk was an agent provocateur employed by the cops in order to foment trouble.

I have previously presented videos of police criminals slashing tires and planting evidence in order to incriminate innocents. Troubles like those we have discussed on this forum and on LP will continue to occur while these police criminals engage in such actions without facing prosecution and jail time which is so richly deserved.

You're on a roll this morning..."enablers"...which poster on here is for reducing funding for effective policing?

Heck, are Biden and Harris in favor of less money for effective policing?

Go away.

Kamala Harris “We need to reimagine how we are achieving public safety in America,” she said.
Which says nothing about reducing funding for effective policing. If you redirect funding toward some non-police functions (or make some functions non-police) and that makes real policing more effective, you have not really made public safety worse - you have made it better. Or if you actually get rid of inappropriate training (such as those based on fear) and spent more as an investment to re-orient how the police work you have not actually reduced funding in the short term, but may have made it lower in the future.
