That's it? Care to spell that out further? You're a smart guy wgdsr, again, how has the WHO helped with the pandemic so far?

1st, all the folks at cnn and msnbc said you should be wearing a mask, so i don't know where the WHO comes off saying you don't need one.

their declaration on hcq recently i believe will blow up in their face. actually, it won't, but in normal reporting times it would. and sap their credibility.

they didn't have insight on spread, they've made multiple errors and yes may have bias. i think they suck at this point... but we do not have a viable replacement in the next 48 hours or 48 days so i fail to see why this is a necessary step.

trump supposedly gave them 30 days then in 11 says sayonara. who knows what that even means? is there a plan to replace what they do? i'm guessing no.

as far as how they've helped, i'm not qualified to articulate that. i have seen how they've hurt, including recently. it's more documented. lot of that going around.

Ohhhh. Trump is pulling the US out of WHO. I didn't know that...that's why you asked.

I guess the question now is: what do we replace them with?

Well now the governor of Minnesota doesn't need PPE or ventilators. He needs the 10th Mountain Division.

Priorities!

Has there been a better demonstration of how hapless liberal progressive democrats are than ALL the leadership in Minnesota.

This tweet with with link to a 20 minute YouTube video may very well be why we are seeing Fauci adjusting his outlook. Appears to be optimistic.

the guy at least sounds like he knows a lot more than us and many of the experts on teevee.

this virus and some of what has happened has convinced me that no one "knows" what they're talking about yet.
basically 100% of people in a homeless shelter and 95-98% in some prisons asymptomatic. how is that happening?
vitamin d?
low virus loads being spread quickly?
other corona immunity?

we have petri dishes everywhere. we have millions of cases.

but we have bad and inaccurate tests. we have governments who can't handle basic sh*t having to be in charge of a pandemic with answers that haven't come.

we still don't know if there's immunity!!!! even short term!!!

in my mind, a long time ago i stopped speaking on here like i knew what was best. what the best strategy was, etc. (caveat... outside of nursing home policy, and that seems obvious and attainable) there are plenty of folks still on here that continue to insist they're experts and this is what to do. god bless 'em.
the real experts still don't know what's up. hopefully we all figure it out soon.

There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

News bulletin - North Carolina National Guard to be deployed here in Lake Wobegone.

I wonder what the hell for? Just remove the provocateurs and deploy the local cops and all will be settled quickly just as happened yesterday. No need to bring more outsiders here. I guess tRUMP wants to expand his tentacles of power all over the USA.

All I need to know is 90,000 people died over a 30 day period with things being shut down. Sufficiently dangerous enough for me...even if you don’t die, you don’t want to be hospitalized with it. A lot of 50+ year old people in the hospital. I plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Of course not. They're doing their level best with a virus that's less than 12 months old.

I've got yeast strains at my distillery that I've been working with for 20 years, and i'm STILL learning new things about how they behave.

Frankly, I'm over the moon happy with how things have gone. My favorite analogy I've heard is that it's like trying to fly a plane while you're building it.

Trump, Congress, governors, other nations, doctors, nurses, virologists, etc.....all doing their best with what little info. they have. With no right or wrong answers, and with next to no time to figure things out.

Almost half those deaths in two states and nearly half of those deaths caused by governors mandating seniors sick with the virus be housed in senior facilities.

I wonder if they are newly introduced to the states from south of the border. That may explain why...that they have not developed an immunity to certain corona strains.
