I think Darby played well today. He is solid.

This is nonsense. While I think no one can argue that a goalie that saves 43% over the course of the season played really well - Darby and Petro's failure to change goalies hardly "cost" them the season.

I thought Rome was "burning"?
It is.
Darby is one of, like, two Blue Jays who played ok today
Indeed.

I think we learned that Towson is actually not good.
Lost to St. Mary's today...

And we learned that Loyola has a goalie.

He looks exactly like Jack Runkle. Maybe a little lighter.

Hopkins has made a habit of making opposing goalies look very good.

True, however Schafer played well last week vs UVA, so my hunch is that he's actually going to be a good tender.

Did Colwell return? i know he got injured off of a dodge from Olmstead after Colwell slid to help the guy covering Aidan.

House was divided but i liked what i saw from Loyola... and kinda shocked to see how Hopkins performed after seeing them play well against Towson last week

Of course Towson is now 0-2 losing to MSM and will be 0-3 after Cornell so that may be deceiving.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

He did, though seemed to me like he was running around with a bit of a hitch after that collision.

Concannon was in sweats on the sideline. Doesn't seem like his return is imminent.

Speaking of the D—the new poles (Lyne and McManus) had a rough day at the office.

Darby played well but the outlet passes continue to be a debacle

I thought Darby played decent, its just that a lot of the goals today were either quick sticks or dodges from X which could be a result from poor communication from the Team D.

The only goals i can think of that darby didn't have much of a chance at were the two long range shots from Swindell and Mcnulty the LSM.

Is this a player thing with Hopkins for this "meh" performance? Is it the coaching staff for in game adjustments and decisions for personnel? i wanna see this team succeed and bounce back to play Carolina next week

That win and performance was fools gold. Towson looks to be closer to a junior varsity squad than a solid D1 team

:D They've certainly had some nice lids in past but has anyone thought to ask the players if they like wearing these? If not, they should...

Lots of high-to-high catch with the goalie today.

The underlying stats were not as bad as I thought they'd be. Jays actually led shots on goal 22 to 21, though Loyola had 7 more total shots. Turnovers were even at 15, Jays failed 4 clears but Loyola actually failed 6. Hounds led GBs 29-22 but considering faceoff disparity that number isn't a total disaster—though it felt much, much worse than that. Both teams 0-3 on EMO. I don't think either of these teams should be very thrilled with the game that was played today. Of course you'd still rather be on the winning side. Shooting 19% as a team is not going to get it done. Several golden opportunities were not finished. I wish we saw more of Murphy and less of Baskin but it seems as though Benson trusted the veteran more. Credit to Loyola's FOGO, he is much improved from last year.

Doubt we hear anything about the decision to start Epstein. Someone put a call into Ron Daniels stat

Rough afternoon for the Jays. Smoked by the Hounds & MSM significantly devalued Hop's W over Towson.

Huge opportunity for redemption next Sat vs Carolina. Hard to gauge the Heels 3-0 start against the Colgate, Mercer, Lafayette gauntlet.

How much pressure to win now must Pietramala be under to risk putting his best player's long term health in jeopardy like he did today? Epstein is too great a talent. He looked like Willis Reed out there in the NBA finals.

Shame on this coaching staff!

With that injury, you can’t always tell how far off the player is until he gets out there and plays.

Yup, quite a few "easy" saves for the goalie. Long range high-to-high bombs, and several shots on goal that had little juice on them, but I couldn't' tell if those were partially blocked or stick checked.
